“Awesome hotel with garden ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

What I like the most is the hotel is surrounded by gardens and it has walking path in it. It's so relaxing. All the staff of the hotel are kind and helpful. It's good to families to stay in. Breakfast is delicious and nice, not so many varieties of food though

Dear Suwana-Sama,

Thank you for your recent stay at our hotel and for leaving a TripAdvisor review. We were happy to read that you had a great stay and were satisfied with our staff and facilities. The garden is indeed stunning and has a different charm in every season. At the moment several varieties of cherry trees are blooming and the trees along the river are getting pinker and pinker. We do hope you will have another chance to come and stay with us.

With warm regards from Tokyo where the cherry trees are coloring the streets pink!

This is the first time that I stayed in the property since it ceased being a Four Seasons, but to be honest you can't notice the difference. This is a very good hotel, with beautiful grounds and good facilities. It is a bit annoying that prices in the bar (and in the mini-bar!) are outlandishly expensive, but that's life. Overall this property never disappoints, and I would certainly come back again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the garden have a beautiful view.

Dear Back_to_Sandringham Sama,

Thank you for returning to our hotel after the change from Four Seasons to Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo. We were glad to see that you were satisfied and did not notice a difference in the level of service. Our staff is always doing more than their utmost to provide the best service they can. Of course the property, with the huge garden and several cultural assets, has not been changed and makes you feel you are in the country side even though you are right in one of the biggest cities in the world.
We hope to see you again in the near future.

With regards from our hotel which is about to be surrounded by pink cherry blossoms!

We had the impression we were the only non-Japanese in the hotel but were made to feel very welcome during our entire stay. The staff were wonderfully friendly and professional and the hotel itself is spotless, beautiful and the garden is a tranquil getaway in this mega-capital which is constantly busy. If you go just north of the hotel you can find quaint shops and small local restaurants that do not cost a fortune (the hotel restaurants are wonderful but pricey). But I do recommend the Japanese Grill restaurant. Outstanding food and service and a unique experience. We would both go again any time we visit Tokyo.

Dear Armando B-Sama,

Thank you for your recent stay at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo and for leaving your very positive review on this site. We were very happy to read that you find the hotel “superb” and the staff “magnificently attentive”.
You had the impression that you were the only non-Japanese guests. Maybe while you were staying with us, there were few non-Japanese guests, but there are days and weeks that it is the opposite. For example, this week foreign guests outnumbered the Japanese guests.
We will pass on your comments to the rest of the hotel and restaurant staff. They will be glad to see that their efforts and smiles are more than appreciated by the guests.
You already mentioned that you will come back when you visit Tokyo again. We are therefore looking forward to welcoming you again.

With our warmest regards,

This Hotel used to be Four Seasons years ago. Very effective check in and friendly staff guide you to your room. Large room with all you need. Large bathroom with comfy shower. Also comfy bed. Liked the gym too in the second floor. Will be back!

Dear Stalenbu-Sama,

Thank you for your recent stay at the former Four Seasons – now Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo. We are happy to read that you enjoyed our newly renovated rooms, with massage showerheads from the well-known, German brand Hansgrohe, new Hollywood twin and kingsize beds, and Japonesque interior. The staff is always doing its utmost to please guests and we will pass your comment on to them. It will motivate everybody to keep on working efficiently and friendly.
We are looking forward to seeing you back, and the gym staff is ready to welcome you again too.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2015

I'm fortunate enough to have stayed at a number of supposedly upmarket hotels. They often fail to live up to expectations. A superficial veneer of 'luxury' typically overlays poor service, incompetent staff and inadequate maintenance. The Chinzanso was a welcome and refreshing exception to this rule and delivered in full on its five star promise. Very welcoming staff, comfortable room, excellent gym and an air of understated luxury throughout. Not very convenient for public transport and more than US$10 for a cup of coffee in the restaurant - but otherwise excellent, if expensive.

Thank you for visiting us and for leaving your comments on TripAdvisor. We were more than happy to read that we could meet your expectations of a luxury, 5-star hotel. It is our aim to really provide the optimum service and facilities possible and we are continuously trying to improve Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo.
Because we have a huge garden and lots of greenery around, we are not situated right next to a subway or train station. However, the closest subway (Edogawabashi) is about a ten minute, pleasant walk through the garden, and along the river. On top of that there are taxis and buses and we ran a complimentary shuttle bus to a train station on weekends and holidays. We do hope we can welcome you back, maybe in another season when the garden will be greener.

With warm regards,

A perfect getaway during a recent business trip. Rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, staff helpful with anything I needed (or forgot)...and the gardens were a perfect place to walk and unwind at the end of the day.

Excellent service in a great hotel. Beautiful garden. Expect no half measures at this hotel. Even the breakfast is a sit down affair with no buffet. A great place for a romantic 1-2 days away. Staying with children is fine but without adds a special touch. Not a great location though. About a 10-15 min walk up or down quite a steep hill unless you can enter/exit the gate in the hotel garden before 9pm. Then about a 10 min walk to Edogawabashi Stn on the Yurakucho Line.

Room Tip: The garden view room is a nice touch, albeit more expensive. However if it is your first trip to Tok...

Dear Middleclass1kid-Sama,

Thank you for having chosen our hotel for your recent stay and another thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. We were delighted to find that you titled it “Wonderful”. Our aim is to provide high standard service and we do our utmost to satisfy guests with and without children. The garden is always beautiful for a romantic stroll, but is especially nice at night when it is illuminated. The nearest subway station is indeed a 10 minute walk, but there are plenty of other options for a convenient transport. The rooms with garden view are something special in a metropolis like Tokyo, but as you mentioned a bit more expensive. During the day we do have a guest lounge on the 12th floor though, which offers a wonderful view of the garden (and complimentary espresso or normal coffee and all kinds of tea) which is especially nice for guests staying in rooms with a city view.

Please visit us again for another romantic stay!
