Three friends and I stopped off for an evening at the Sheridan resort in Sabang, hoping to find better food than we'd been served in the Green Verde a little further down the beach. Unfortunately, we were met with rude service and expensive drinks in what's a really quite vulgar resort totally at odds with its beautiful setting.
After sitting down and waiting ages to be served, one of our group went to the bar to get drinks. Despite this, we found that the drinks bill was subject to 30% additional service charges. I queried these with the management and was told that this comprised local taxes and an optional service charge, which he refused to remove. Not very optional.
We also ate some cheesecake here, which was very good, however again the 30% additional fees were levied.
Overall, they serve a decent piece of cheesecake, but the place is way overpriced, the staff are rude and the resort looks really out of place. Go to the Daluyon a little further down the beach instead, as the staff are delightful, the service is great and the design of the resort much more sympathetic to its surroundings than the sore thumb that is the Sheridan.
