“Wish we could have stayed an extra night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night here and would have enjoyed staying an extra night if we had the time. We stayed in the building and not the cabins which was comfortable and a lovely view across the canal.
Enjoyed the surrounds and some of the decor from the arty owner including the innovative use of kitchen utensils for soap holders in the bathroom.
Loan bicycles available and I think its a must if visiting as its an easy short and very memorable ride. Warm, friendly and helpful owner.

This hotel features little grass covered single room buildings as well as a couple other outbuildings. There are bicycles available, apparently for borrow, whcih might be a nice way to get to Mont St Michel. This latter is the main reason for coming here -- the big tourist attraction. The proprieter is very friendly and helpful -- we got lost on the way there and was worried that the place would be shut up tight (at 2AM). Which it was -- but there was a big sign on the window welcoming us and directing us to our room so a nice relief. price is reasonable.

We stayed in one of the odd little cabins. We were there only one night so the absence of closet space was not an issue. The cabin was roomy enough for the 4 of us and clean. The beds were firm and comfortable. Borrowing the bikes and riding the trail down to Mont St Michel was fun. We were there early in the season so it was too chilly to sit outside at night but for summer visitors that would be a plus. There were also a few restaurants right nearby. This place is basic but also inexpensive especially considering we did not come to Mont St Michel to sit in a hotel room? The location on the river was excellent as well.

We really liked the informal quirkiness of this place. Its a fabulous looking house with a rich family history, situated a flat 4km walk along the trail to Le Mont St Michel. We stayed in one of the eco-cabins which was large and comfortable and loved being able to sit outside in the evenings have a cold beer from the Bar Tabac opposite. My only criticism of the cabin was the lack of ventilation at night - it was very hot and the door is the only way of letting any air in which I wasnt comfortable leaving open all night. The owner is charming and friendly, the breakfast was first rate and the provision of free bikes for wizzing along the trail to Le Mont St Michel is brilliant. Its not a 5 star super formal, cleaned to within an inch of its life kind of a place, but if you want a homely place with space to be outdoors in a great location, its perfect.

Room Tip: cabins are best

Pros: Right on the trail to walk to Le Mont St. Michel. Nice and quiet. Room was clean and quite large. Bathroom was huge.

Cons: No TV (not sure why you'd be watching TV while visiting rural France anyway). I don't recall the WiFi being particularly amazing.

Room Tip: Triple room in the annex was pretty large

Enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep in a room located on the ground floor of the annex. Our room was basic (note no TV or tea making facilities) but very clean & beds comfy. Location is excellent for visiting Mont Saint Michel.

False advertising. In addition to the appealing private huts there is a guest house with poorly designed and poorly equipped rooms overlooking the river. There is no way of knowing which one you will get. There is no Wi-Fi available in the rooms and it is available in public areas on limited hours. The room was poorly equipped with no basic amenities: no TV, no hair dryer, no heating, no means to make a cup of tea! The whole thing is too pricey given the abundance of other hotels and B&Bs not far from Mont St. Michel. Feels like a rip-off, very disappointing.

Do you Come fromf Israel to watch TV? The television shrinks the look: That made that you did not see the heating in the room (who can imagine a hotel without heating?). The beauty of the place, the flowers, the bikes at disposal, the bar where you can drink a tea, dry hair which are at the reception, all this you did not see and not asked. I refuse to put WiFi in rooms to protect visitors from waves. I wish to develop the simplicity and the beauty so that people spend a moment of relaxation in a natural and beautiful place. All Our rooms are equipped with a heating, with a shower and toilets. If you look for a hotel much more equipped with modern objects, You have to agree to pay the price and to choose a different hotel. The requirement and the fear of being lacking prevent the pleasure of the discovery and it makes us live in the routine and the habit. The notices of the travelers show that our hotel was not for you. They show that thegue def Beauvoir is a hotel become rare and pleasant in the simplicity.
