We stumbled on this restaurant when looking for dinner and some were not yet open and were intrigued by the wide variety offered on the menu. They have a little of everything so even the pickiest eater can be happy. I had the pescatore menu and we also tried the cheese plate and pasta w seafood. The set menu comes with wine, water, appetizer, main course, coffee, and dessert. It's a great way of sampling if u r ok w what they offer.

So the cheese plate came w their famous local flatbreads made a la a pita heated and toasted over a coal oven. And their homemade focaccia was so flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the servers were so kind.

Def give this place a try.

We were charmed by this restaurant (and its romantic little tables) while strolling through the town center.
The service was friendly and the food lovely: typical Ligurian starters, home-made pasta with sea urchin sauce and delicious “sgabei” (fritters made from bread dough).
My husband was served a huge portion of the best deep fried anchovies in our experience of avid fish eaters for 6 Euros!
Too bad they slipped on the dessert. We ordered two lemon sorbets and they brought us a lukewarm liquid sludge that no restaurant should dare to point at as “sorbet”.
Including wine, we paid 45 Euros. And they of course did not bill us the sorbet.
Highly recommended, but again… stay away from the lemon mud!

We ate 2 times at Tre Archi during the annual Guitar Meeting at Sarzana. They represent themselves as offering Ligurian food- with the regional and local pastas and sauces and second (meat or fish) dishes, and good preparations. Overall, Sarzana has maybe 6 blue chip restaurants that represent the regional cuisine better than Tre Archi, we thought, and are more fairly priced. Tre Archi seems to be geared towards tourists rather than locals, which is not usually a good sign. I would suggest walking the old city, looking at menus, and choosing somewhere else if you want authenticity and more good Ligurian fare for your money.

From the outside this looked appealing but I'm afraid that the service and food didn't match up to expectations. The whole place just seemed geared up towards getting the tourists in and out of the door. The staff were clearly busy but being rushed off their feet resulted in a catalogue of errors as the wrong starters were brought, the side dishes didn't arrive, the wrong deserts turned up. We would have forgiven all of that if we had had one waiter/waitress to have a dialogue with but we were served at varying times by up to five different people that added to the confusion. Could I say that the food was great? Unfortunately not. We came away with a distinctively average feel.

We were looking for another restaurant in Sarzana. After some unsuccessful tries to locate it we passed the Osteria Tre Archi by chance - and were immediately intrigued. It's in the old part of the city and it's interior with old stone walls and candle light is charmingly italian. The food is even better: They are very creative and offer several local specialities, such as raw artichoke salade, home-made pasta and a wide variety of very special antipasti, primi and secondi piati. The food is surprising and well beyond the usual 0815 italian food. They speciality there is different kind of meat that is brought to the table raw, together with a hot stone. You can prepare your meat directly at the table yourself - quite a spectacle. But also for vegetarians, there is a great choice of things. As a plus, they offer a good selection of Italian wines.
Prices are very moderate for what you get. I can definitively recommend this place!
