“Friendly, welcoming and Personal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

We stayed a week ago- it delivered more than it promised really. from the street it is relatively unassuming, but through the arch is a quiet and pleasant tree-filled courtyard; the welcome from the owners is warm laid-back and genuine. Our room was to the street, slightly dark because of a small window, but a great size, tastefully decorated and so much space for the money.
It is all laid-back and friendly, but not at all in your face or pushy. we were pleased to benefit from the hugely generous and delicious BBQ each night in the courtyard. the Breakfast was generous and fresh- felt homemade and thoughtful- if you eat indoors its in a pleasant tile lined room, but if the sun shines its eaten out if you prefer.
the indoor pool wasn't really tempting on a warm evening as it was indoor, but if the days were chilly it would be a real asset.
The only drawback is Campos itself- feels like a town without a centre- really nowhere much to walk to in the evening and if you didn't have a car, it may feel very claustrophobic. We benefitted from the delicious BBQ each evening, but had we had to look for a restaurant the pickings are slim in Campos and we may have been tempted to drive to Santanyi.
This hotel is a gem of old fashioned hospitality and charm fully up to date and comfortable and spotless- it could show so many others how to be welcoming and personable- excellent value for money too.

If you're used to staying in big chain hotels, it might take you a little time to adjust to the apparent laissez-faire vibe of the hotel Segeles. However, once you've kicked back a bit and slowed down a gear or two, I think that you will appreciate the laid-back, unhurried, slightly cluttered and distracted charm of the place.
Yes the restaurant menu is a bit limited and yes the young waitress appeared to have her mind on other things whilst serving us, but hey, when you arrive at 11pm and they reopen the kitchen and BBQ to get a hungry traveller a meal then who can complain?
The following mornings breakfast spread was delightful and we lingered for nearly 2 hours picking at all the titbits on offer whilst watching the various comings and goings of a disparate collection of cats in the courtyard restaurant.
My only complaint is that the hotel is not easy to find first time around, in the dark, in the warren of small streets, without a sat-nav, but that's hardly the hotels fault.
My tip: if you haven't got a sat nav, locate the hotel on a street map before you go!

We wanted a base to go Beach hunting in the south east Mallorca for a few days and this was perfect. Warmth and hospitality in abundance, surgically clean rooms with great aircon and fantastic home cooked Spanish breakfasts. Incredible sleep at night - windows sound proofed.

We begaan our cycling trip at the delightful Hotel Segles. A traditional and quite grand buiding that had been in the family for many years. Two sisters who speak good English run the hotel. You enter through a coach archway into a pretty coutyard with tables for the cafe which provides lunches. Everything is relaxed and unhurried. The bedrooms are comfortabe and quiet with air con for the warmer weather. However the building being traditional is cool and shady. We had room 4 on arrival which had an amazing floral headboard. Tea and coffee making facitities and two armchairs. After a few days we returned on our circular trip and this time we had room 3. Again, very comfortable with a two washbasin bathroom. We were three couples and we were all delghted with our rooms. One couple had room 7 which had a roof terrace. The town is quiet and there are a few restaurants but this is not a big tourist destination. The local people are friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel was served in a charming room and there were boiled eggs, fruit, local salamis, cheese, cornflakes yoghurt, orage juice and the local almond cake croissant and breads. Our hosts went backwards and forwards to the cafe to bring us excellent coffees of our choice. We hired our excellent bikes from www.bergantibikes.com and Diago who speaks English delivered them to our hotel. They where new, very reasonably priced, and we were given extra inner tubes etc. The best bikes we've hired anywhere is Europe and this is our 7th year.

Room Tip: Room 3 has double washbasin and although at the front is quiet. Room 7 has a roof terrace for sunbat...

We stayed for 4 nights over Easter at Hotel Segles and it was the most perfect holiday!

Maria & Maria were such great hosts and the hotel was in great shape for the early part of Majorca's tourist season. Campos is very easy to get to from the airport and if you hire a car it's a max 30 minute drive. The google directions to the hotel are very good except the hotel is on the right as you drive into Campos, not the left!

There is parking on the side streets (out front of the hotel is pay) but Maria will help you find a good spot to park while you're staying at the hotel. The hotel is a lovely old house (built in 1550!) recently converted to a hotel. Our room had a lovely patio and very clean bathroom. Excellent water pressure!

The breakfast was delicious and always warm and ready no matter when we ate it. It also changed slightly each day which was nice, but the fresh croissants were always there! We didn't eat at the hotel except for their tapas and wine during the procession but even that was perfectly prepared.

Campos itself was the perfect home base for travelling around the island. 10 minutes from the stunning Es Trenc where we went to the salt flats/gift shop and the stunning beach (we did a great 5k run barefoot on the beach there. Highly recommended!). Colonia St. Jordi was nice for a lunch by the port too. We also went up to the north east coast and west coast on day trips with ease. No more than 2 hours (with a few wrong turns) of driving. We went into Palma one day and were so glad we didn't stay in the big city. Another draw to Campos over Easter is the Processions that happen every night. Even if you're not religious it's stunning to watch the whole town come out. Also on the Saturday there was a procession de vin where each restaurant and bar had a special Majorcan wine and tapas and entertainment and the whole town is out on a huge pub crawl! It was so fun.

Just got back from a 6 night stay at this real gem of a place.
We cant thank Maria and Maria enough for making our holiday so special, nothing was too much to ask for and the food was amazing.
Great breakfast, Maria's Paella is the best and her chocolate and banana crepes are to die for!!
This Hotel is in a great location and the rooms are very spacious and clean.
If you are looking for a nice place to stay with warm hospitality then Hotel Segles is the place to go.
We will definatley be back.

The owner describes a stay as very romantic. It is. And it has a little spooky gloom all over the house. Having breakfast in a very pretty and comfortable little yard is a wonderful start of the day. Meanwhile, enjoy the house because it is a well preserved family museum.
