+ Estudiotel is an option for a short and economic stay. It is very well situated, relatively calm (we stayed off season time) and spacious. Our family booked just one night in this hotel on the way to the skying trip. The room we got was comfortable, with large beds, clean.

- It was not warm enough inside.

Stayed for one night in March 2012. The hotel is well situated near to the shops and an easy walk to the marina, beach, restaurant areas and castle.
The staff are very friendly. They helped with maps etc. They first gave us keys to a second floor twin room but someone had been sleeping in the room the night before and it hadn't been cleaned yet. We went back down and they were very apologetic and gave us a triple room on the 5th floor.
The rooms are quite basic but have a balcony.
For me personally the bed was too firm. Also it was a bit cold at night.
We bought breakfast for 4.50 euros, which was a croissant, coffee and juice. The man gave us a free cake as we were leaving too.

I had to find a hotel in a hurry and got this for a nice price. The aircondition was turned off now and then but was no big deal when we got used to it.
Hotel staff was helpful and brekafast was simple but ok - no buffet.
Internet for free but only in the lobby area.
The room was clean and tidy but old, som noice from traffic.
It is short walking distances to shops, beach, and to the fortress, we where wery pleased with the stay totally.

Booked a twin room for 3 nights while in Alicante. Was cheap but to be honest if all you are looking for is somewhere to lay your head then it's ideal. If you are looking for a family getaway look elsewhere as in our room on the 2nd floor the air con was non existant and the bathroom had damp with a shower with poor water pressure and you had to hold the shower head. The TV has no english channels like news or anything if you like to stick the tv on while falling asleep. The bedding was clean and the view from the 30th floor is fantastic overlooking the city. The noise overnight from the loading bay to to the shopping centre across the road is quite loud meaning you need to close the door to the balcony when you could do with the breeze. In summary, it's cheap and cheerful and does what you need it to do if you will never be in the hotel, if though you need quiet when sleeping and like a good shower then look elsewhere

Stayed here for a football trip. The room on the second floor smelled of damp and clearly hadn't been used for some time. The bathroom was mouldy and damp because of a constantly dripping shower and the air conditioning did not work. The hotel was extremely cheap but that does not excuse the fact that it was dirty.

Booked this hotel as part of a last minute getaway and wasn't expecting too much for the price we paid (£13pp/pn). As mentioned in a previous review this hotel caters primarily for businessmen or older Spanish travellers and is therefore not ideal for a couples or family holiday, however it is adequate to lay your head for a couple of nights.

We were given a room on the first floor with a view of a multi storey carpark and although the room itself was bright and clean, i was woken up several times during the night due to the constant noises of traffic outside. At about 5am the loading bay opposite is a hive of activity and it became impossible to sleep due to the noise of the lorries and workers and at 6.30am we were granted a move across the corridor to a much smaller room with a view of a building site but at least this remained quite till 8.30 am each day.

Good points - Staff helpful and apologetic for inconvenience caused by noise, rooms clean and bathroom well maintained with hot, powerful shower, free air conditioning, right next to a bus stop that provides a regular airport service for 2.65 euros, 10 minute walk to the harbour.

Bad points- stairways and corridors need updating, street level noise on lower floors, not holiday-maker friendly, small lift capacity for a hotel for so many floors.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2010, we had a standard double room facing away from the ocean.
Plus +: Quiet neighbourhood. Close walk to shopping. Cheap.
Minus -: Quiet old interior. The atmosphere in the room was not good, boring colours, no art, dark. Uncomfortable bed. Floors were not clean.
