Rooms are a little dated but very clean. Extra blankets and pillows available. Good water pressure in the shower and each room has it's own water heater which is very efficient. Towels changed whenever you wanted. Lounge furniture not very comfortable and lighting poor due to low wattage bulbs. Maid service very good and unobtrusive. Pools excellent. Loads of sun loungers, plenty of shaded areas and umbrellas. Outside areas kept very clean. It is a massive hotel which is run very smoothly. Didn't see any cockroaches or creepy crawlies. Very impressed and would definitely go to this hotel again. Loved the area - much quieter than Las Americas - but this suited us. Bus stop outside the hotel which was very useful for some trips out. The management should be very proud of the team of people they employ, they are very dedicated and definitely know how to provide customer service.

booked this hotel for myself and my husband for a week in the sun. my brother-in-law and his partner joined us but flying from a different airport. on arrival the hotel appeared clean and reception staff were polite and courteous.
there were 3 pools, all very clean and well maintained with plenty of sunbeds. a pool bar was available through-out the day with drinks and snacks. the food was ok but sometimes on the cold side. the main restaurant had plenty of choice and the food was rotated regularly. if it did get a little cold there was a microwave oven available. the seating arrangements were rather cramped with a bit of a scramble at each mealtime to get chairs food etc which was not helped by some people being rude,e.g pushing to get in first, or grab food. this was not the hotels fault of course, with staff being polite and helpful.
the rooms were kept clean but are looking old and dated. we asked for two extra pillows which were sent to our room the same day. the cleaning staff were particularly friendly. for the time we spent in our room they were adequate.
the animation team worked particularly hard all day every day, however the entertainment on a night relied to much on audience participation for my liking.
the resort itself was reasonably quiet but pleasant enough. legends bar was fantastic for watching sporting events with lovely staff and the staff in popeyes snack bar were outstanding for friendliness.
a pleasant enough stay, we got what we paid for.

A definite hotel of extremes. The entertainments team were excellent and made us very welcome. Reception staff were good. However, as we had gone on an all inclusive holiday the bar and restaurant staff did not treat us with the same respect as other holiday makers, the staff ignored us as much as possible and when they had to speak to us it was very abruptly. We were made to feel like second class customer because we had paid for an all inclusive holiday.

By far the greatest asset of this hotel is a friendly staff. Everyone smiling, funny, polite and helpful.
Animators particularly care about the atmosphere and having fun (by which stay at the hotel is much more attractive).
The hotel has the best animators: Rene, Alba, and two awesome guys from the Dominican Republic: Ruben and Campeche - very funny people with a great sense of humor, great dancers, committed and professional.
It's a treasure for Barcelo Varadero and for sure a lot of people come back to this hotel again because of this.

Lots of organized activities for children and adults during the day and evening, for example, dance lessons :)
Several times a week at hotel are invited artists (shows of professional dancers made a biggest impression on me) Lovely!!!

I would definitely recommend this lovely, friendly brilliantly run, hotel to anyone, and I will be returning ;)

just returned from this hotel, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, was a mix of eastern Europeans and English, all friendly, not many young people, was on a slope so I hired a mobility scooter for 10 euros a day, we ate out during the day at legends, just down the road, fab food and all waiters funny and on the ball, the food at hotel is very good, all buffet food, with a change every night so not monotonous. cant knock it at all.

Room Tip: we had a superior room, all on 4th floor, with sea views.

A hotel with friendly staff, good location and greate all in clusive. Nice clean rooms and high quality of the evening entertainment. We liked the all in clusive and the friendly staff best and liked least that the shower had bad pressure.
