According to the receptionist the hotel opened in May 2009 and therefore the hotel itself as well as the furniture is brand new and without any ugly traces from other travelers.
It is located directly at the Rursee (lake Rur) and has a large terrace with view to the lake. There is plenty of space to park cars right in front of the hotel.
We had a nice small room with a wonderful view to the lake which was strengthened by the large panoramic windows.
Unfortunately there only was a shower – no bathtub. Moreover threre was only one basin but the bathroom made a cosy impression.
I could not see an aircon which was not of any interest for our stay in November, but might be interesting for those who travel in summer.
The room itself was very cosy and all furniture was new and nice although I have to admit that it was not really clean – very visible bird droppings at the windows, empty bottles in the locker and dust at the bedtables. There was a safe and free wifi.
Breakfast was less than usual 4-star average but still fine. Dinner was very nice.
Although quite disorganised and confused at times, staff was very friendly, nice and caring.
Overall we still relaxed very well at Der Seehof and would definitely return.
