This place was a real find. The hospitality was first class, and there is a decent-sized pool and gorgeous views out across the valley (Tuscany eat your heart out!) so chilling out at the hotel all day is always an option. There are also plenty of day trips; Rimini and beaches to the East, Ravenna's Byzantine culture to the North, Bagno di Romagno and mountains/hot springs to the South. Only slight proviso is you will need to rentacar to get there (or at least, it will make things much easier).
