We stayed for a long weekend, and even though the weather was mixed we had a great time in the local area, and around the pool. Stefano was very helpful about local attractions that would suit us, masses of useful information. And the choice of really excellent local restaurants, several withing 20 minutes walk, was just great. Local bird life abounded, cuckoos, hoopoes, bee eaters, turtle doves - and great breakfasts included.

I have been to I Quattro Passeri last weekend with my family. The owner Stefano welcomed us and show us the beautiful property. He's been very nice and offered us a drink by the swimming pool where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Adriatic Coast. He also gave us a lot of suggestions on things to do in the area and recommended us a nice restaurant in the main village.
Rooms are very nice, cleaned and confortable. They are all different because rhe main building was originally a countryside house. It is built in stones like Tuscany houses.
Breakfast is big and varied. This is the ideal place to rest even if travwling with your children because there is a wonderful park all around the property.
Also, if you are a family I suggest to ask for a room in the cottage which are larger have their patio, two bathrooms and a small kitchen.

A nice vila with superb look to adriatic coast and clean pool in front of the house. Breakfast is good with enough choice. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Stafano is a superb host.

We stayed here for 2 nights and would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay. Stefano the owner was excellent and made us feel like the only guests. He was very attentive and the ideal host. The breakfast was very good. The view from our room(room 3 Rondine) and the property is fantastic. The pool is lovely and was very clean when we stayed.

The only comment I would make and this has nothing to do with the property is that we had a little difficulty in finding it due to our Sat Nav acting up. I would suggest aiming for Roncofredddo first (the nearest town just 1.5 miles away) and then following the directions on the website which are very clear.

Room Tip: Room Rondine was very nice

Working our way down the east coast we found Quattro Passeri Country House. Other than the fact that is a bit out of the way, it was lovely and peaceful. Make sure to arrive before it gets dark so you can find it. The closest cities nearby are Bologna, Ravenna to the north, and Rimini to the south on the east coast.

This is not a farm stay, but a charming country house and garden nestled on a cliff overlooking the valley. This is a perfect spot for honeymooners. Very romantic and felt very private. Sparkling pool (not heated) and comfortable poolside lounges, a tiny spa and work out room next to the pool were perfect for this out of the way stay. Room was very pretty, large, spotlessly clean, great views. (This room was corner on the 2nd floor). The living room has a baby grand piano and fireplace and is very comfortable place to check your email via the wifi. The host is a wealth of info, constantly in motion tending to his garden and keeping things tidy. (I can not imagine children staying here, but that’s just my take.)

We enjoyed an enormous spread for breakfast, which was served in a quaint and brightly decorated breakfast room indoors (I want that china!). You can cook your own soft boiled eggs here. Also a cooler in the public area had chilled bottles of water for our use. But other than that there is no food here. About five minutes ride down the hill, is the small (tiny) town of Roncofredo. You'll find a fantastic local restaurant here for dinner and eat there twice (cant recall the name). Also, the town of Santarcangelo is about 25 mins away where you can find a place for lunch and, on the right day, the town square becomes a lively marketplace.

We originally chose Quattro Passeri to visit the (world's smallest?) country of San Marino which turned out to be interesting, but way too touristy (if you go, try to catch the changing of the guards). The highlight of this area for us, was where our host recommended we visit, San Leo. This picturesque mountaintop town just next to San Marino was spectacular. It seems cut off from the rest of the world. We had one of the best lunches of our trip here in a restaurant (name?) located immediately to the left as you drive thru the archway into the town.

Downside at Quattro Passeri Country House was for us that the bed and pillows were not the most comfortable, but that should not stop you from enjoying this beautiful place to stay!

In the middle of may 2009 we went to Emilia Romagna and decided to spend few days in a quiet location. After browsing the internet a bed and breakfast attracted our attention. A private villa located on Cesena hills in Santa Paola just minutes away from Roncofredo village. As soon as we got there, we were taken by the amazing view (180 degree of unspoilt scenery); the garden was kept to the highest standard and the privacy of the swimming pool made you feel like on top of the world. Stefano (the owner) couldn’t have been more helpful. From our arrival to our departure, Stefano was available to answer any questions or give us advice about the area. It’s location in Emilia Romagna makes it ideal to reach any point of interest in the region. Stefano has a true passion for his business and it shows every single step of the way. The choice for breakfast was very substantial considering we were the only two guests (homemade cakes, ham, cheese, cooked eggs, fruits, juices, croissants, danish.…..etc). We booked a room with view on the hills which is a must have. The bathroom is equipped as well as a 4 stars hotel. The cleanness of the Quattro Passeri was second to none. The whole place is so clean that you could easily think nobody ever stayed there before you. We never stayed in a B&B before but most definitely would encourage anybody visiting the area to have a break there. The price per room doesn’t seem the cheapest to start with for a B&B but the level of service you get for that price make it indeed excellent value for money. If you like luxury, breathtaking views, top hospitality, quiet retreat with all facilities around (restaurants, picturesque villages, sightseeing, shops etc….)don’t look further “Quattro Passeri” is the place to stay.

A short holiday I will not forget. A superb villa on the hills of Romagna, overlooking a magnificent scenary. The place is decorated with italian medieval style and the rooms are just magnificent. We were happy to spend time with Stefano and Sandra and were impressed by their attentions, charm and genuin friendship. If you are visiting the hills of Romagna or Tuscany, do not miss "I quattro passeri"!
