I almost hate to write this review, because this is an as-yet undiscovered gem of a surf resort. El Salvador is a quick trip from many spots in the US, and this resort is less than 2 hours from the airport, yet is totally isolated. The wave is great - reef break, long rights, softer on the outside and then sometimes barrelling on the inside. When it gets big, the paddle out is tricky and the rock cliffs can be dangerous - so not advised for beginning surfers. At small to medium swell, it is ideal for beginner to advanced or experts. Rooms are clean, new, air conditioned, great showers - pretty awesome for a surf resort. The owner (George) is a great guy and did everyting to make sure our crew of 8 guys had an amazing time. Food was local, fresh, out-of-this world good (fresh fish, amazing local garlic shrimp, great breakfast - great value, food anytime). The whole staff was super friendly and fun. Perfect spot for a group surf trip. Many other surf breaks are within an hour drive, so lots of options if it is too big.
