“Best place we visited”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

By far the best place to visit, the Canadian students were very enthusiastic and couldn't do enough for you.

The whole area provides you with a great experience and the tunnels are excellent.

The best part is that it is free

If you are visiting this area it is a must see location.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

The Vimy Memorial was nothing short of spectacular. We were impressed by the knowledgeable guides, the condition of the site, and of course the memorial itself. The guides fit us in on a tour of the trenches right away and it was fascinating. The info centre is informative and the entire memorial is so well maintained. The battlefields are completely preserved. We would definitely recommend this to anyone, but especially to fellow Canadians with an interest in our nation's heritage.

“Amazing!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This memorial is very impressive. I visited in January (a bit cold) but still worth it! They also have preserved the original battlefield around the memorial. As a Canadian I was proud to see this great site.

“Loved it....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Vimy is a must see when visiting France. She is amazing and knowing the history behind this magnificent Memorial will def. bring tears to your eyes. As Canadians, we should be proud that our country is so much loved by Europe and GB. Many of our young boys never made it back home to families, friends and children....May we never forget the sacrifice that these young Canadians did for us. To all history buffs out there...if you have a chance to visit ...GO!!!! you will never ever regret this ....

“Very impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

The monument and the exhibits are truly great memorials to our soldiers that died and what they did to ensure our freedom.
WW1 was a long time ago and most of us have seen the trenches on photos, but to actually walk through them gives new meaning to how it was.
All in all it is woth spending half a day and not having to rush and being able to absorb all the impressions.
