I can only join with the congratualtions expressed in previous reviews! But those who should be congratulated are not only Guido and Raffaella, but ourselves that actually have had the opportunity to stay here! For me and my family Il Molino was only a stop-over on our way down to the coast. We expected an affordable stay in a suitable location in line with our planning. But this was so much more! Sometimes you can tell from the moment you meet people, before even talking, that this will be good. We were welcomed with a drink after having seen our rooms - and such nice rooms! Nice ancient furniture, well functioning facilities, comfortable beds - and as a whole an extremely welcoming and elegant atmosphere. Guido had a chat with us and booked a table for us at a very nice restaurant where we aslo were welcomed in a very good way by the owner/waiter/chef?/journalist and former mayor of Serralunga!
For breakfast - the Italian way, not so much cereals or porridge - we enjoyed the homemade pastries, cakes and pies (pears with chocolate sauce anyone?) - and it was all so great.
We have already decided to come back and use Il Molino as our base camp when exploring the Langhe area. Guido made some suggestions for us on places to visit, wine to try etc. and will sure be of very good help. Guidance and planning support included in the price!
