Our first time in Japan.
Perfect location. Very short walk to train, bus, grocery, shopping, entertainment and a very nice park. Rooms were clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were very small. We stayed in 2 with 2 twin beds.
Make sure you ask for a room with a window that opens. Our 1st room the window was fixed shut - red triangle on the outside of it. Rather hot and stuffy even in March. The second room had a window that opened and was much more comfortable for us.

Beds very firm which I liked.

Not much space to move around. If one of us was sitting at the desk, the other had a hard time walking past - more of a squeeze for both of us.

Bath room was a modular unit that you step up into. Small but very clean and nice. Love the Toto bidet toilets.

Food was ok, but we did better just a short walk away.

Room tip: Get a room with windows that open.

We have stayed at the Tokyu Inn in Kichijoji before and found that it was so handy for us because we have family living nearby, but now the prices have been dropped to Y9800 for a double and now that is seriously good value.
It is a business hotel so don't expect too much - a bit dated with smallish rooms but nice and clean and with good staff, but the standout feature is the fabulous location.
Reception is on the fourth floor where there are two computers providing free internet access.
Breakfast is probably better sourced from Doutoru near the station. Coffee and a Milano sandwich (hamburger- style) always seemed to go down well.
The hotel is a very short walk to the station, Inokashira Park, Atre (the old Lonlon) department store with the best food level, cute shopping arcades, some fabulous restaurants and great supermarket 50 metres away where we stocked up with orange juice, snacks and drinkies.

Great staff on the front desk, but small, expensive rooms. Kichijoji is a great part of Tokyo, but some way out from the more central areas such as Shibuya and Shinjuku - good transport links though.

I stayed here for a couple of months.

The room was very small, with a very small TV with nearly no English programming.

The breakfast was very limited, and didn't include expresso (they were very friendly though, and happy to turn on their expresso machine and whip me one up every day, and rarely charged me for it, but it would have be nice if i didn't have to ask).

This is a great location, right near a whole plethora of dining and entertainment options. And also right near the train (though everything in tokyo is).

The bathrooms are very small, though they do have a bathtub with shower (as opposed to many Japanese hotels which only have a small hose with a shower nozzle on it next to the toilet to shower off with).

The internet is 100mbit/100mbit though!

Very very friendly staff.

They have laundry machines (coin operated) on the premises too.

Excellent staff but very beat up hotel.
