“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

It's worth a visit to the centre itself for lots of information on the Battle, together with more on dambusters and other wartime news.
The tour of the hangar, which takes about an hour, is chargeable, but is a fascinating look at the workings of the Flight. Reasonable cost of £6, or £4 concessions, Check ahead for opening times.

“The Tour is a must.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Visited this centre whilst staying at Mabletorpe. Well worth the journey! Firstly, there is the small but informative museum to look around, then the guided tour around the Hangar. Our Guide was Lloyd, and he was so interesting to listen to I did not notice the time passing by. He gave us so much information and made it very interesting for us, the Spitfire, the Hurricane and the Lancaster. The best £4 (OAP rate) that I have parted with all holiday, thanks Lloyd, thanks Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre.

“A super informative tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We had a lovely couple of hours at this living Museum. Stuart, our tour guide, was an ex Lancaster pilot (up to 2 years ago) and was very interesting and informative. He showed us the Lancaster, a Dakota, Spitfires etc which were all being worked on by RAF Engineers. That afternoon the Lancaster was to take a test flight, but unfortunately we missed that due to a prior engagement. Never mind, next time I suppose. All up, if you enjoy flying machines, this is a pretty cool place to visit. The only downside is that there is a definite lack of a proper café/canteen!
