“weekend escape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

My will was the rejuvenation of soul and body by visiting the thalasotherapy centre of the Aquamarina Hotel, a desire wich was totally accomplished. Using the indoor heated pool, steam bath, fitness room and jacuzzi is complimentary to the hotel customers but not only. These facilities are used by members (especially old ones) of the "aqua club" who pay annual subscription so it was a little crowdy and noisy this Monday. the very positive thing anyway was the price (47 per night through hotel .com including breakfast and the spa).
I had a preaty good room in the third floor overlooking the sea which was basic but in good condition and clean. The negative thing was the mosquitos attack during the night (i killed 11 of them). The Dinner Buffet had plenty of choices, the cost is 12 euro pp, the food was quite tasty and the service was really efficient. The staff is very attentive and polite. Overall a good choice for weekends close to Athens. If i would visit the hotel again? Yes...

A bit off the beaten path, this great hotel is a jewel. 30 minutes from Arhens airport, near the vacation town of Rafina, this hotel has it all. Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Good food. Great views of the sea, and lots of places to sit, enjoy a glass of wine and relax. It is far enough away to be outside the tourist craziness and prices, but close enough to get a cab or a bus into city center. Have put it on my "family vacation" list.

It is a nice hotel in the Athens East Riviera, mostly for relaxation after a busy stay in Athens, or before leaving to the airport or the islands from the Port of Rafina. Rooms are spacious, there is a pool and a small beach (nothing great by Greek standards) and a small spa with warm sea water and a steam bath. You can take a walk in the area which is rather quiet.
The only problem that I see are those noisy BBQ nights with music that is definitely not of my taste that can be head till late in the night.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room which is not on the 1st floor and close to the lobby for it can turn out t...

Mati is a small Greek village on the Aegean Sea. The hotel has splendid views of the sea and marina. Service is friendly and attentive, and food is varied and appetising. There is a large and attractive bar with super staff. Why only four stars? The music in the restaurant is a little too loud and sometimes a bit strange - this is of course a subjective opinion. Nevertheless, I'm happy to recommend this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Sea views are wonderful. Rooms facing the road should be okay as the road has little traffic.

Ι would not recommend it under any circumstances. Although its rooms are rather spacious, the dirty walls, dirty window and shower curtains, the lack of sound isolation and the existence of insects (small cockroaches in the bathroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) are enough facts in order for someone to consider making a booking in this hotel. I asked for a sea view double bedroom (with double bed), I got a side view bedroom with two beds attached to each other. When I reiterated my initial request, the staff showed unwillingness in accommodating me as originally asked. They instead, provided me with double bedsheets and blanket after the third time I reminded them what I wanted. The only things that I can say was somehow worthy, were the spa and the offered continental breakfast..

We stayed at the Aquamarina Hotel as a stopover on the way to and from another holiday destination. It's not too far from the airport and in quite a nice area by the sea. The two rooms we had were on the third floor and of a reasonable size, both with a balcony with lovely views of the coast/swimming pool. Overall, both were reasonably comfortable and spacious and the room was nice and quiet despite there being a lot of guests staying. Breakfast was also good with an excellent choice and quality of food. On the down side, the car parking for the hotel is across the road in two unpaved and unlit lots which don't feel like a particularly safe place to leave your vehicle for the night. There's no easy drop off outside the hotel which meant we had to carry our luggage some way to the hotel door and then it's quite a hike to back of the hotel to reach the lift. The reception staff on both occasions were happy to do the basics but generally not very helpful or friendly.

This is beautifully located hotel right on the shoreline with a very pleasant pool area. It is a big hotel and can get busy - particularly in the restaurant.. Accommodation and food were good and the staff friendly and helpful.
