RACV is really good at resort management. Cape Schrank Resort is tastefully understated . The rooms are excellent, spacious, well furnished with very well equipped bathrooms. The grounds are well maintained and quite. The golf course looked well maintained. Public rooms were comfportable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Staff were confident, kind and friendly while delivering good service. Food was fresh and well cooked. Its not cheap but it is god value.

This choice was based on a last minute decision to start our Great Ocean Road trip from the Mornington Peninsula and some previous reviews from TA. A great choice, the location is quiet, the grounds (golf links) are beautiful (you don’t have to like golf), the facilities are clean, tidy and well maintained. The room (standard ocean view) was very clean, had heaps of space and comfortable bed. The view from the balcony was wonderful, complete with sunset. We opted for the breakfast inclusion and were very happy with the selection and quality. Finally, the staff could not do enough for you and just so personable and present. A little more expensive than our normal, but defiantly worth it.

Stayed here on a work conference and was really impressed.
The Ocean View Rooms have beautiful views over the golf course to the ocean, and they're well-appointed & spacious.
The food (dinner and breakfast) was good - tasty and well-prepared.
But the service really sets this place apart - every single staff member, from reception to restaurant to bar to conference support, was unfailingly friendly, professional and helpful. On a par with any service experience I've had overseas.

Had an overnight stay here during a conference- excellent accommodation, service and meals.
Well satisfied with clean modern facilities and kindness of staff.
The views and setting were beautiful despite very ordinary weather.

My husband, 10yo daughter and I headed here for one night. It was a really gorgeous place to stay. Friendly greeting from reception, then excellent directions to our Ocean View room, which overlooked golf courses across to the ocean. Our daughter's fold out bed was ready and made up. Very clean and comfortable room, modern bathroom, well stocked fridge, good tea/coffee/hot chocolate/really nice biscuits too! Lovely dinner that night though the children's menu could be improved. Lots of kids don't want just fish and chips, nuggets or pizza/pasta. Felt the local wines were priced a bit high, which was a shame as I'd like to support the local vineyards.
Lovely boardwalk through the bush to excellent breakfast the next morning. Lots to do nearby ... Peninsula Hot Springs, Enchanted Maze, beaches, bushwalks etc. We'll be back.

Room Tip: Ocean Villa room was great ... we had room 621

A quiet three nights in an Ocean View Room was just what the doctor ordered in a cold Melbourne winter - plenty to see without having to leave your room. Watching the shipping entering and leaving Port Phillip & wondering at the ever changing ocean sky all while sitting in your lounge chair, was just superb. With breakfast included, a short stroll over the boardwalk to the Resort became a great way to get the juices flowing knowing that a great buffet, in front of the fire, beckoned. Friendly restaurant and front of office staff were always there to greet and strike up a genuine conversation. Monday - Pasta night and Wednesday - Steak night were both delicious and value for money. Seen from the boardwalk, but only explored on the last day, the Tee Tree Garden was a hidden delight. A place of natural beauty with places to sit and contemplate the beautiful surrounding flora. Although I can understand why they are not included in rooms, which otherwise had everything to meet the traveller's needs, for a longer stay I thought a small microwave for heating up snacks would have been an advantage, especially with the resort being a bit remote from nearest shopping centre. We didn't play golf, although I did buy my daily paper from the Pro Shop and was fascinated by the seemingly endless number golf buggies that lined up at the end of each day. Overall, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Spend the additional $20 per night to get an upper level Deluxe Ocean View Room.
