Had another great meal at Cassia. My wife had the prawn starter and I had the duck salad. The two prawns were well cooked and the sweet potato cake was tasty. The asian duck salad is a tour de force. Only criticism is that I would have preferred a more Asian inspired dressing rather than olive oil and balsamic. The chocolate platter is very decadent but a bit pricy.
We often have breakfast at Cassia, the eggs Benedict is very good as is the coffee.
Have only had one bad experience with the pasta where the sauce was obviously frozen and then reheated. There was a solid rubbery chunk of Parmesan in the sauce. Assume it was chef's day off. Not too impressed impressed with the waiter's response at the time either, so I suppose the manager was off too. Seems to have been sorted out since.
The menu is a bit wintery for October, hope it becomes more summery soon.
