We have been fortunate enough to dine at L'Antica Locanda two times in the same number of years, and each visit confirms the fact that this is a fabulous taste of regional Pugliaese cuisine.
Located on the outermost portion of Noci's olde town, L'Antica Locanda is comfortably, come-as-you-are elegant. You will be warmly received by the wait-staff who speak enough English to be of assistance, yet not too much to make you think this is not anything but an authentic Italian eatery. (The owner is most often on hand, and speaks fluent Inglese, but humors me patiently as I practice my Italian language skills.)
Please, please, please..!...Take our advice and do not pass up the antipasti della casa...a triumphant parade of delectible Puglian morsels. Save room for a primi, as the pastas are mostly housemade, and every one we've tried was delicious. Secondi (main course) entrees are delicious, also...but the cordial waitstaff completely understands if politely take a pass, if you only have room left for dessert. There is a lovely assortment of small bakery treats (ie cookies, biscotti, taralli) that will be offered. Enjoy these with a cafe and a small glass of Padre Peppe, a delicious walnut-based liquor that is made in Puglia.
Best to reserve here, as the dining room is intimate and quickly gets filled up with travelers from all over the world. L'Antica Locanda strives for perfection...and gets high marks in our book! Highly recommended.
