I wrote my first ever Tripadvisor review on this small hotel in one of the most beautiful corners of Europe. I did it, because I felt that this place merits to be fully booked during the entire season (which is in Sardinia surprisingly short: Easter until September). We were so completely satisfied in 2011 that we decided to go there again in 2012 for 4 weeks.

We were not disappointed!

It was as nice as the year before and we were blessed on top of that with four weeks of sunshine (virtually the only place in Europe! Although it was only April we made ample use of the hotel pool and the incredible beaches of Costa Rei which are just a 20 minutes drive to the south.

Apart from the beautiful location overlooking the beaches of S. Giovanni and Colostrai and the buildings as such (built and decorated with great taste and respecting the surrounding nature) it is the staff of the Residenza that makes the difference. A special praise to SIgnora Denise and her colleagues who are not simply the employees paid for their service but true and genuine hosts who make you feel welcome any moment of your stay.

For those who love Sardinian cuisine, Signora Agnese in the kitchen is a strong reason to eat in house. She prepares classical Sardinian dishes - not always on the light side, but always tasty that are a perfect reason to drink up and down the wine list which is not very long but shows a dozen of nice red and white wines from the island. My wife asked for vegetarian food and was happy al the time, in particular because she could get spectacular preparations of artichokes and wild asparagus.

Very often one feels some remorse going back to a place that was great. In the case of Rio Molas we were very happy to do it and to find our good memories confirmed.

This is a must-go hotel if staying in South Eastern Sardinia. You're within 20 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Sardina. The hotel is small (only 7 rooms) and by no means resort-ish. It's like you're staying at your Italian relatives place...a very authentic Sardinian experience. DEFINITELY opt in for dinner each night because the food that these ladies cook is delicious. The rooms are a very good size as far as European rooms go.. If you're looking for a relaxing and romantic Sardinian getaway, definitely stay at Rio Molas! It's very economical also!

This hotel was just like paradise. Everything was just great! The views, the big hotel room, the cleanliness, the staff, the pool, the breakfast, the dinner, just everything. This is a fantastic place to stay and we’d recommend it to everybody. Another recommendation is the fact that a dinner is being served every night for little over 20 Euro's, the food is absolutely great!

Only small minus is the road leading to the structure, it isn't paved and is a bit bumpy.

We stayed in the Residenza with the family (2 parents, our little sun and our Labrador). The Residenza is a beautiful place in the hills overlooking the SE coast of Sardinia. Muravera as a nice little town and the most beautifuol beaches of SE Sardinia are only some minutes away. The hotel is set up with a lot of good taste. The room we had was spacious and had all commodities one needs for a relaxing vacation.

Most important of all is the incredible friendliness of the staff and their service mindedness who have made this a perfect family holiday for us. Add to this an excellent cuisine with Sardinian specialities (I am still dreaming of the seafood!).
