“Best Burger in France”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

The last time I ate here. I had the time to enjoy the full dining experience on a beautiful day dining on the Harveys terrace. This visit however I didn't have that sort of time. However as I was in the neighbourhood I thought I would pop in knowing I could get a quick du jour menu.

Tracey ( the owner and host ) told me not to worry about time, what I need was a Harveys burger and a glass of the local red. She was right on both counts.
It was a proper burger something you just don't see in France, it is either Steak Hache or McDonalds and it was fantastic.

“Warm welcome, wonderful food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

The best restaurant in the region! The value for the quality of the ingredients is exceptional. You are welcomed like a long lost & dear friend as soon as you arrive. Tracy will sit you down & then serve you a little bowl of olives & crackers, something to nibble on while you have an aperitive.

We have eaten at Harvey's on several occasions. The menu changes constantly, but for instance, on our last visit, we had a delicious vegetable soup, then a choice of entree ( the duck breast smoked in- house was memorable) followed by the choice of a couple of main courses which are always sensational & then dessert. We have found the food superb, but the value for €12.50 is incredible!

“Wonderful surprise close to St. Emilion!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

When the chef's wife came to our table to show us the figs she just picked that morning from her garden, I knew we were in for a surprise for what those figs became on the plate. Harvey is the name of the cat I never saw, the interior is pleasant but basic, and they offer free wifi but what came out on our plate was wonderful and the menu changes often with the fresh ingredients at the time. The owners are Irish but you would think they were French from the exhaustive work that goes on in their kitchen and the largely French customers eating there. Mostly open for lunch but call ahead as sometimes they are open for dinner.

“A perfect lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Our family stopped at Harveys last year while in Dordogne for a quick lunch and ended staying quite a bit longer. The food was excellent and the service superb. The hosts themselves (a British family affair) took time to check on us and made us feel like old friends! We ate outdoors in a charming little garden. We left with a "we just have to come back" feeling...
