There is only one thing that disappointed me with this restaurant - it is not on the sea. Tables are situated in a colourful tented garden area. Each of the tables has colourful cushions and is close to a fire to keep warm.
My husband enjoyed a local beer from Darling. Our food was tasty and we were able to eat in time to drive back to Cape Town before it was too dark. They had opened for dinner at 6.30. The toilets have their own personality but be warned about taking your young sons to the men's toilets there as some of the decor is a little risque.
Definitely worth a visit! A great vibe and lovely background music.
Paternoster is a sleepy little village that seems to have had a building boom in recent years so not sure how many of the guests were locals or out of towners. As we drove into the village, the fishermen were standing on the side of the road trying to sell us lobsters
