“Perfect Bed & Breakfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

A lovely Bed & Breakfast in Kent countryside!!! Highly recommended!! Maggie was always very helpful and hospitable. Close to Maidstone, Leeds Castle.. The choice of breakfast was amazing ( vegetarian breakfast as well) and lived up to all expectations. A perfect host and a perfect place to stay. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful cottage inside and out. Immaculately clean, magnificent welcome, excellent breakfast and wonderful views from the lounge/dining room. A big thank you to Maggie. Very good value and a comfortable stay. Nothing is too much trouble.

Room Tip: All seem very good

The Hedges Family too all three rooms for a Mothers Day trip to Leeds Castle weekend away and my way a fantastic place to stay. Rooms, facilities, breakfast all excellent as was Maggie as our host. We arrived to a open fire and returned from dinner with the bottle of wine we had left, cooled to the right tempretaure and three glasses ready. I don't think we could praise it enough, the kids loved it and on the short drive to Leeds Castle my Mother-in-law said, "probably the best B&B she had stayed in. We shall return.

Maggie, thanks so very much.

Chart Hill Cottage is a beautiful 18th Century end-terrace building with fabulour views over the Weald. It's a real jumble of irrelgularly shaped rooms, nooks, crannies, stairs, twists and turns that all give the place real character. As we were a family of five, we booked all three rooms and had place to ourselves, which was great and made it feel very homely, with the guest lounge to spread out in.

The Cottage is beautifully decorated mainly in a white colour scheme and is spotlessly clean. the bathrooms and showers are very good indeed.

Maggie is a great host, friendly but discreet, and cooks a mean breakfast. As we visit the area a lot to see family, this will certainly become our new base.

Room Tip: Only three to choose from, the best probably being the double at the back with views over the Weald.

A big thank you to Maggie for making us so welcome when we arrived. We were enchanted by the old house. The house and bedroom were beautifully clean and our room was lovely. We really appreciated the robes too. Not only was the house charming, but Maggie was able to direct us to great places to eat, somewhere to do our laundry, and was generally a great help but without being obtrusive. It was a wonderful start to our tour of the UK.

Room Tip: If you are an international traveller, don't forget to take your hair dryer.

We stayed five nights on a short visit to Kent, arriving by Eurostar from Brussels to the Ashford station. Maggie's easy directions had us there in no time. Despite rain we got to several coast villages, Sissinghurst Gardens and Canterbury. This is a wonderful place to be, from the beautiful and comfortable rooms, a lovely lounge with pleasant music and all the reading you could want, excellent wifi connection, delicious breakfast and a superb hostess. A warm and wecoming home, and if you are very lucky, a visit with Molly and Bertie, Maggie's Norfolk terriers. We want to go back; we WILL go back. Cheers, Maggie, and thanks.

The Cottage is warm and cosy, the common areas are decorated so you feel like home. Room clean, tidy and bed comfy. And the breakfast is to die for. If you want a place to enjoy Kent and relax this is the place to be. Is super close to the Leeds Castle and other places. Thanks Maggie.
