We stayed in this hotel/winery as part of a wine tour. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms were spacious, as was the bathroom. Plenty of bathroom amenities (hairdryer, complementary shampoo, toothbrush, vanity set, etc). They have an artist friend whose works were on display in the reception area & hallways--mostly paintings of cows. Because it is also a winery, you could smell the must of a winery making their goods. We had a tour of the winery, so we got to see their cellars, etc. They make a good sparkling wine, a good white wine, and a good red, all under the name "Villa Sparina".
The attaced restaurant, La Galina, had fantastic food. We had a wonderful risotto there, which they would have gladly added truffles to if I had been willing to pay significantly more for. (Truffles cost about as much by weight as diamonds.)
They are not right in the heart of Gavi, so you'd need wheels in order to stay there.
