Blouberg is not a part of the Cape that I particularly like and unless you're a keen kite surfer, I would not recommend it as a tourist destination.
I spent a weekend in Blouberg because of a wedding; even though I dislike Blouberg, I enjoyed my stay in the Blue Peter.
The hotel is hardly modern. It has a kind of old-world feel to it, which can be charming or off-putting, depending on your tastes. The staff were very warm and helpful which suited the old-world feel quite well.
Service at terrace restaurant is less stellar and the prices are a bit high. But, when you have such a beautiful view, you might forgive some of its shortcomings.
Breakfast was good but not great and includes the normal gamut you'd expect at a decent hotel (cereals, hot and cold meats, yoghurt, fruit, baked things etc.).
Wifi is free but the signal only seems to reach the upper restaurant.
Should you stay at the Blue Peter? Well, only if you really want to go Blouberg and if you're not on a budget. The Cape has many better destinations than Blouberg.
Rooms 24-26 are close to an office and if office noises during the day annoy you, you won't like...
