“Top marks for Ross Priory!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We got married at Ross Priory in 2011. Looked at other venues on banks of Loch Lomond and none came close to Ross Priory.
Value for money on accommodation - Excellent
Staff Friendliness - Excellent. Couldn't do more to help you.
Venue and views - Priceless
Bedrooms - Very good. Yes the bathrooms are in need of modernisation but it's University owned so money is tight and let's face it if rooms were 5* so would the price be!
Food at wedding and also bar food - Excellent. Super-size portions
Overall rating - 10/10
My husband and I have returned several times for lunch in the bar area and have also had an overnight stay and meal. We have not been disappointed.
Beautiful place with many happy memories that make me cry every time we visit - tears for happiness :-)

My wife and I attended the wedding of our niece, the venue was Ross Priory, Gartocharn, Loch Lomond, Scotland.

Our room was massive with comfortable and fashionable furniture, large bathroom and very comfortable bed/ The high light of our room was haowever the large double window facing north and filled with the most fabulous view of Ben Lomond and the Loch. The shore was only 50 yards so the view was unbroken. You can choose either rooms in the main hotel or a self catering cottage right on the shore.

The food was excellent, the facilities superb and if you are visiting Scotland, try not to miss even one or two nights in the peace and quiet of Loch Lomondside.

Ross Priory's location on the banks of Loch Lomond is breathtaking and the welcome provided by the staff is warm and fulsome. We stayed just one night on this occasion but we had a wonderful time. The food is outstanding with generous portions, the rooms are comfortable with everything you could wish for, nice shortbread biscuits and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. The weather was not great but a stroll round the gardens between showers was nice as was relaxing in the bar, reading the papers. Staying at Ross Priory always recharges our batteries. Thank you everyone!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

We stayed here for my cousins wedding. The grounds and scenery are beautiful. The room we had was lovely and modern with great views over the golf course. I would say the bathroom lets the room down. It was obviously not modernised at the same time as the room. The shower was tiny and my 6'2 boyfriend struggled to fit!
The food at the wedding was delicious and there were several breakfast options. All in all a great weekend!

We celebrated our wedding at Ross Priory in July this year and we could not have faulted any of it!! From the initial planning with Lesley and Margot through to the day itself, everyone was really helpful and accomodating which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The food was absolutely beautiful and our room was lovely. We cannot wait to go back and celebrate our anniversary here in 2013!!

My wife and I recently I spent a couple of days at Ross Priory for our wedding anniversary. We can't fault it. Staff were very attentive and friendly, diligent and courteous. The food was very good indeed, well prepared and plentiful. Our room was not huge, but sufficient for our needs with an absolutely spectacular view up Loch Lomond (the weather was very kind). Very clean and well appointed.

The extensive gardens of the Priory are very well maintained, as is the 9 hole golf course. Although we just missed most of it, the Rhododendrons must be spectacular in season.

Room Tip: We had room 5, with views to the North. Perfectly suitable for a couple for a few days.
