“Really great place and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

Its a shame this place is not busier in the winter as the food and staff are great and really try hard to satisfy, we ate here a week last Saturday 7 of us enjoyed a great relaxed evening with great food and wine, although on the De Vere Carrick Golf venue they served food to any one passing so please give it a try it is great!

“Lovely Place, very expensive, high quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

i visited the carrick as part of a works day out and have to say i was impressed, it is lovely. My only concern is the price. If i hadnt been there with work, i simply would not pay the prices asked.

However the food was lovely, very generous portions, staff are helpful and polite.

“Nice surroundings & average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

We have been here twice recently & went for the Wednesday curry evening which was a help yourself buffet. The food quality was reasonable, but they were a bit slow replenishing the contents. Cameron house & the Carrick service is very similar, very friendly & helpful to begin with & then they forget all about you concentrating on the new arrivals, then they too are neglected which doesn't make you feel as bad.

“Ignored by staff!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Where to begin...The restaurant was quiet at the time of our arrival. Initial greeting with poor people skills, shown to table with no offer of drinks until attended to by different member of staff, no communication between staff e.g. orders taken and then asked for again.. Noticeable lazyness and avoidance of eye contact by so called supervisor. Very poor table etiquette, no water offered, no basic waiting skills. A lack of interpersonal skills, training and manners. Staff were more interested in coach load of customers arriving rather than serving us our correct order.

The food quality was reasonable but was considerably let down by waiting staff.
Would recommend The Boat House for both service and food.
