“Memorable stay in an outstanding B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

A week in Tania and Stuart’s B&B in June. Everything about our stay was terrific. Bla Bheinn is wonderfully situated right in the middle of Skye, giving good access to all parts of the island, with the Cuillins in particular almost on your doorstep. We had the Red Cuillin room, with a great view out of the side window towards the Red Cuillin hills, but also with a good view of Sgurr nan Gillean and the Black Cuillin from the front window. A spacious, comfortable room, with a very comfy king-size bed, flat screen TV, a fridge with complimentary bottles of locally brewed beer, tea and coffee making facilities, and a lovely big bathroom. Tania and Stuart are fantastic hosts - they gave us such a friendly welcome, and were always on hand to chat to us and to give us tips about the weather, places to visit and places to eat and drink. Stuart was especially helpful with advice about walking in the Cuillins. Breakfasts were wonderful, featuring Tania’s home made bread, home made preserves, home made potato scones and lots more besides, and she also provided us with great packed lunches. A very dog-friendly place too, with extra doggy towels and other accoutrements available in the porch. All in all, an outstanding B&B, which we would heartily recommend to anyone.

What a terrific week we had in your company and thank you for a lovely review. It's surprising how we become friends when our guests stay for more than a couple of days. That's one of the great things about running a B&B. We do hope to see you both again in the new year.

Bla Bheinn is, for us, the epitome of the perfect B&B. My family and I arrived very late after a difficult day on our holiday (drive on the left) and were treated with the utmost respect and kindness by the proprietors. The B&B itself is in an amazing location and is incredibly beautiful. Our room, the Red Cuillin, was perfect for a family and could not have been more comfortable. The breakfasts were also perfect. I can't imagine a better stay and better treatment. Our thanks.

My friend and I Stayed here for two night and did not want to leave when it was time. Tanya made a wonderful breakfast for us and the packed lunch was amazing. The B&B is in a great spot to explore Skye. Sturart gave us many tips on what to do and where to eat which were perfect. The map he let us use was a life saver also. And the two four legged residents were such a treat also. We just had to get in some doggie time before we left.

What a great find this place is whether you come with or without your dogs. My husband and I took our three dogs to Skye and Bla Bheinn could not be better. They have a fully enclosed very large garden that the dogs are allowed to run about in, it is totally safe for them. The rooms are large and very nicely decorated. There was even some complimentary bottles of the local beer in our fridge. The breakfasts are outstanding. Tania even makes the breads and marmalades herself and they are delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked to go again for longer this time in October. Our two friends who were with us enjoyed themselves every bit as much as we did.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent. One has a bath tub en suite and the other (the one we stayed in) has a sho...

Our dogs always love it when other dogs stay with us and so do we! Skye is a fabulous place to bring your dogs with many walks and beaches close by. We are only 2 miles from both the west coast at Drynoch and east coast at Sligachan so if your dogs love water or walking there's plenty here for them. Thank you for a fabulous review and look forward to your return later this year.

Tanya and Stuart run the best b&b we have ever stayed in! Spotlessly clean, comfortable, calm and relaxing, with the most delicious breakfasts! Tanya bought in my special milk, which was much appreciated, and the room had a little fridge which had beer and chocolate biscuits as a very nice welcome. The views are fantastic, Tanya and Stuart had lots of tips on where to go, what to see, where to eat etc. and loaned us a map which was very helpful. The two resident dogs are real sweeties, very well behaved and shared their toys with our dog (well, she helped herself really but they didn't seem to mind!). Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Both rooms are huge!

We know how difficult it is to find great B&Bs that allow dogs and with us having dogs of own own we are only too happy for dogs to stay with us. That's what Skye is about - a place where everyone can have a great time with all the family.

We spent the most wonderful few days in this well appointed B&B on Skye. The location for exploring Skye can't be beaten as it is central and close to the Cuillins for those who enjoy the mountains. Tania and Stuart are the perfect hosts. Tania's breakfasts were delicious and Stuart was on hand to offer advice on good walks and pubs to eat at in the evening.

I stayed with my two children aged 5 & 9, plus my mum in the family room (Red Cuilliin). It was immaculate and we had a very welcome Skye beer in the fridge waiting on arrival, along with a great selection of teas and coffee, and some snacks for the children. The flat screen television also had a full Sky Movies package which was very welcomed by the children!

Our friends along with their three dogs and my wife and I recently spent two nights here. We were so very pleased with the accommodations and Tania and Stuart were extremely knowledgeable. We especially thank Tania for recommending Old Bay Inn pub for dinner. We hopefully will be able to stay at their B&B again next year. Thank you very much Tania and Stuart.
