“excellent trattoria frequented by the locals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

We enjoyed the food so much that we visited Don Ciccio twice during our stay in Santa Flavia. The use of fresh local produce and combined with the flavours of traditional cooking made the visit worthwhile.
The buccatini con sarde was excellent as were the swordfish rolls, palermo steak, the baked lamb (like kleftico) and the Sicilian sausage. Not forgetting the cannolo to finish a sumptous meal!

“Genuinely friendly service & nice food from a good little Trattoria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Top marks for Don Ciccio! We went twice during a week stay and were not disappointed. Service was warm, friendly and efficient. Really good pasta and swordfish with special mentions to their pasta alla Norma. Nice touch with the glass of sparkling and bruschetta when you sit down. Definitely worth a visit if you want nice, home cooked Sicilian fare.

“Traditional Cooking Though a Little Kitschy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

The food at Don Ciccio is traditional Sicilian fare presented in a setting heavy on the "quaint". The hard boiled egg appetizer brought me back to the simple old trattoria format I remember as a child. The plastic bibs reminded me of the fish house restaurants and the limited wine list forced you to "drink what they got.". In fact, the wine came right off a shelve in the large dining room and was he same temperature as the warm Summer night that it was. The ubiquitous Pasta con Sarde was just OK. If you are looking for the Olive Garden of Sicily, you will be fine here.
