This was a rest stop for us for the night during our 14 day trip around Italy. The area the hotel is located is right on a busy street and looks a bit industrial. It was unusually hot for Italy, but upon walking into the lobby we were met with no air conditioning, only the breeze from the open lobby door. We were placed on the 3rd floor. Upon our walk up, I noticed paint peeling and very dirty stained carpeting. The 3rd floor was hot and stagnant. Our rooms were very basic, not like the picture. The back wall was painted, like the picture, but that was the only update. We were told the room would cool down in approximately 10 mins. After waiting for 2 hours in the lobby for our rooms to cool, it became apparent that it was not going to be anywhere near cool. The hotel staff tried to help in terms of making sure our air was on and checking on it; however, he could not make up for the fact it was super hot and unbearable. We never unpacked, but did drag all of our luggage down and went somewhere else. The hotel and dinner was already paid for and that was not worth dealing with the stifling heat! Will not return and do not recommend.
We stayed here for 1 night while walking the Via Francigena and found it excellent - our room was very clean and comfortable, with good storage etc and a nice smart and spacious en-suite with a great shower. Plus nice views out over roof tops to the hills, with a large window giving lots of light. It's more of a business style hotel and a purpose built type building, so don't expect a traditional feel, but it's therefore all well designed and laid out and I'd guess the rooms have been refurbished reasonably recently. It's excellent value for money. Best of all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They organised our bags to be collected from our B and B the previous night and then on to the next place, all very efficiently. We left our walking map the next day and they went to lots of trouble to track us down - driving after us then phoning and then running up the street. They really couldn't have done any more. Breakfast was fine, we didn't try the restaurant, but the hotel is very easily located to walk just a couple of minutes into the older part of the town, which is small but plenty of character and worth exploring - there was a festival on the day we stayed. There is some road noise, you are in the centre of a little town with a busy road nearly, but it was quiet a=enough at night. Totally recommend it to anyone else walking the VF and looking for a decent stopover - or anyone else - it's great value with a real personal touch on the service side that you don't often get at a business type hotel. Equivalent to a premier inn in the UK. Thanks!
The hotel is ok, decent rooms and fair cleanliness. The personnel is very nice and kind. The location is convenient to visit Altopascio (walking) and also to go see Pistoia, Pisa and other beautiful towns in the area. Breakfast is so so, but the restaurant is very good for lunch and dinner. Good value for money.
Okay for one night if passing through. Doors in rooms looked like they were made out of counter top material!.
Very basic with no character.
Having said that staff were very nice and there was no noise at night.
arrived late in the day and were greeted by a very helpful young lady with limited english who did everything possible to ensure we were satisfied with a nice, clean & comfortable room. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast consisting of very tasty cheeses, lovely fresh ham and the best rolls in Italy probably sourced from the wonderful bakery nearby, plenty of fresh fruit & very good coffee. Very good assistance was rendered by Luciano on our departure as to the roads we should use to continue our jouney through this beautiful countryside. We enjoyed our stay & would definately stay here again.
