“Excellent business hotel”

Nice, spacious hotel near Heathrow. Very friendly staff. Great service and nice breakfast. Have become regular customer of this hotel, every time I visit London. It is very close to Heathrow airport, as well as tube station and M25. So you can easily get into London central through tube or get out of London.

This was a perfect Hotel for a 3 day Business trip with my meetings near the Airport. The Hotel was nice, with free Wi-Fi in the room and a free cookie at check-in.
For convenience there is a Tesco Express mini-market and several fast-food places (Domino's Pizza, Kebabs, and Burgers) across the street.
The only problem is getting there without a car.....
The "Hotel Hoppa" shuttle from Heathrow drops off there (30-45 minutes, depending on the number of other Hotel stops) for 8 GBP round trip or 4.5 GBP one way.
There is also a bus stop right out front if you have an Oyster Card. Several routes connect to Heathrow terminals 1-4. If you need British Airways terminal 5, a connecting bus is required. After the first day, I realized it was actually quicker to take the bus than the "Hotel Hoppa" (and cheaper too). Tube access to the Piccadilly line that goes into Central London is also accessible within a few stops by the same bus routes.
There is a nice Pub two bus stops away (The Queens Head) if you want to get away for a quick bite and a beer.
The staff was friendly and helpful for any local transportation questions.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel, staff were helpful and the breakfast was awesome. The Conference room facilities wee adequate. Overall I was quite satisfied with my stay at the hotel. Although I could not have an evening mel as I arrived at Check in a little adfter midnight, this could be improved upon.

The hotel was clean and modern. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Free cookie on registering, yum.
Big grumble about the automatic addition of service charge. The bar menu showed the prices of all the food and drinks, in the small print it tells you that 10% service charge will be added to your bill. Having bought two glasses of wine from the bar I really see no need to tip .
It is deliberately misleading and would certainly prevent me from using this chain again.

I'm sorry you found the service charge to be deliberatly misleading; please know this is certainly not intentional. Of course all guest's can remove the service charge if they wish and the staff will do this without hesitation. Room was comfortable; and front desk staff very friendly; it is day 5 since visit however and i still don't have my emailed invoice so i can file my travel! Room service was quick and food was very good. Staying at an airport hotel the night before my trip home is convenient and this hotel is a good choice.

Located very close to the Heathrow Airport complex, this property is usually very inexpensively priced compared to other area airport hotels. The hotel has a very modern decor, very, very helpful staff, and very pleasant rooms and facilities, even by American travel standards. Parking is convenient and the hotel is very well located for getting on the road both into and out of London as well as back to Heathrow for flights out.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors to avoid any road noises.

Booked overnight hotel and airport parking through Holiday extras. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed an overnight parking fee of £11.00. We queried this, and produced our confirmation email which made no mention of this. After discussing with her supervisor, the receptionist waived the charge. Room was comfortable and free wi fi, dinner in the restaurant was good but the service was abysmal, the food was on the pricey side. On checking out at 3am the following day we were again told we would have to pay the £11. parking fee, but when I explained we had discussed this on arrival they agreed to waive the fee, but hassle we could have done without. Not doubletrees fault, the holiday extras booking page should have made this fee clear at time of booking.
