Magnificent old Hotel closed for a number of years re opened in the last few years built in the 1800s good food at very reasonable prices, great breakfast too nothing to dislike just good to see this grand old Hotel once again open its a part od Stirling's History that could have been lost

“Birthday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

I celebrated my birthday in the Moose Room (love that room) 16 of us including some children. I had eaten here once before so I had high expectations and I was not disappointed it was amazing. Honestly some of the best food on offer anywhere. Loved it.

“Good restaurant for a casual weekend lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

This restaurant attached to the hotel can be a bit noisy on weekends as it is one of the better places in the Adelaide Hills. The number of people visiting the Hills in the summer weekends is very large and there are few places to eat. Casual atmosphere and good quality meals in an almost garden like setting makes a trip to this place worthwhile.

“Lovely day ,Lovely food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The Ideal place to have a long lunch on a summer's day with friends. The Atmosphere and the leafy surrounds are a great start to a top quality bistro . Staff are friendly and the service was very sharp. Food and Wine are reasonably priced and the food selection is extensive...

“disappointed again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Together with my family, I have been dining at this lovely hotel for many years on a regular basis and recommending it to everyone. However the last two meals I have had there over three weeks have been a disappointment. Previously any main course ordered was of the highest restaurant quality, well thought out and prepared with fresh ingredients and skill. This attention to detail put the Stirling way in the lead as the best Hotel food in Adelaide. From what I could see last night they are now focusing on all the easy deep fried rubbish. Who Is running that Kitchen now ???
