My teeange son and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had just spent a week in Antarctica, and this side trip to Easter Island was the end of our two weeks. The transfer service was there to meet us - but honestly if you did not have much luggage you could walk from the airport to the hotel.
The management staff greeted us and the other couple who arrived on the same flight. Our reservation was in order and I had requested a room with two beds for my son and me and they apologized that the room had four beds due to it being the Christmas season. We were given room #14 which was an end room and very large so the four single beds did not overwhelm the room, and we had lots of luggage from our Antarctica adventure so theextrabeds came in handy.
The rooms have an in-room safe, minibar fridge, TV, table, chairs and outside chairs. The bathroom is quite large with a shower over the bath. Soap and shampoo and a hair dryer. Basic and functional.
Loved the pool area. As other have noticed all 14 rooms have a sliding glass door to the pool area and we kept ours open day and night - felt safe. Only annoying thing was some new guests on the last night that decided to sit in the lounge chairs outside our room and talk quite loudly most of the night. other guests who had used the pool and chairs were far more quiet so think this was the guests rather then something usual ate hotel.
As others have noted the breakfast is quite nice with a good variety. What was a really nice touch was the last morning as we were leaving e hotel at 6.20am and breakfast did not start until 8am, they provided a sandwich, breakfast bar, juice and chocolate the night before in our fridge.
They lent us beach towels for our day tour and when we went swimming.
The tour company is affiliated with the hotel and I was somewhat concerned about doing a full day tour and two half day tours but went with the suggestion. Huge mistake. The ful day tour is not a full day but 10am- 4pm with quite a long lunch. It would have been better to add something from one of the half day tours to make it truly a full day from 9am-5pm, and less time for lunch. The hardest thing about the tour was that it was a bilingual tour. I appreciate it is Chile and the national language is Spanish, but when guide spoke in Spanish she lost the focus of the English speaking guests and vice versa when she spoke in English. I wish I had paid more attention to the people who warned about ensuring you take only an English speaking tour. It was so bad that my son and I chose not to go on the two half day tours the next day. The thought of sittting through that abysmal process was more than my son or I could bear. Having said that the sights were great and would love to have seen what we missed. We had to pay for the two tours we did not take, but even that was not enough inducement to make me sit through the tour guide process again.
The issues with the tours do not reflect on the hotel, more a warning that they do have the affiliated tours available.
Some people have made comments about the distance into town. It is actually a really nice walk and we did it every day and enjoyed it. As it was NYE and New Year's Day when we were there many restaurants were closed, and the hotel management staff made reservations for us and told us of restaurants that would be open. Great service.
However, nothing on the island is cheap, nor is most of Chile so be prepared to lay out cash for everything.
Would stay at this hotel again if I were to return to Easter Island.
Room #14 was an end room - large room with plenty of space.

We really offer all services by Kia Koe Tour, the main Tour Operator of Easter Island, without any extra cost. Similar tour packages are available generally only for the clients of the quality travel agencies.
We do not use individual freelancers, even those who have a good fame, since sometimes they simply never show up or fail otherwise. Tour Operators are reliable due to their resources: in case a guide gets sick, they arrange a replacement and the service experience is fluent.
Since almost 9 out of 10 guests book their tour program with us, the feedback has been mainly very positive and, thus, we are truly sorry to hear that in your case certain basics were left unclear when we arranged tours for you.
Since it was New Year, the only possibility to book your tours was a before you arrived to the island. Tours were eventually fully booked and a last minute cancellation is considered as a no show and, thus, invoiced.
Please, visit our website for the details of the tours or follow the links of the welcome message we send to greet our guest. We have also plenty of useful information about Easter Island on our website.
Tours are available as regular and private service. In case of private tours, you can decide the language, otherwise it depends of the group and might be multilingual, meaning English and Spanish. Since Kia Koe Tour is the main operator of the island, tours are available even in Japanese.
Full Day Tour duration is approx. 7 hours including picnic lunch. The actual duration depends always on many factors, such as age, culture and personal interest of the passengers, as well as weather.
