“Glimpse into traditional Easter island”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

Wanted to experience a traditional EasterIsland show so my hotel recommended this one & I wasn't disappointed. If your use to high end pretentious restaurants maybe not for you but if your prepared to let your hair down & have an open mind it's defiantly for you. I loved the down to earth vibe at this place. Im from NZ and this sort of scene is very familiar to me including the food cooked in a umu. It was great to compare & I thought the EI hangi as kiwis call it was primo almost as good as ours ;) lol. The traditional dance show was a welcome surprise great vibe...it's so uplifting & both the men & woman were pretty sexy if ya ask me hahaha....overall great night that I would def recommend

“you let me down TA people”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

I read over and over how even people who normally hate this tourist-trap sort of show really liked it after all. My advice: if you hate tourist trap shows you will hate this one too. Save your money and go to Disneyworld instead. Horrible food, worse service and really bad wine.

I just don't get how anyone can like this. Maybe those Explora people. ; )

“The Best Traditional Rapa Nui Show on Easter Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Te Ra'ai includes everything for the 40,000 Chilean Peso per person price (about $80 U.S.): Pick up from and return to hotel, traditional food ceremony, audience participation Rapa Nui dance lessons, excellent all you can eat ceremonial food buffet with wine, and a full traditional dance show lasting over an hour. The host narrates the entire evening in Spanish and English. The restaurant, food ceremony and dance venues are all top-notch fresh and clean. The owners take great pride in showing off their Rapa Nui culture and making the best impression possible. They currently only offer this event on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and reservations are required since seating is limited. My advice is to make arrangements for an entire evening with Te Ra'ai as soon as reaching your Easter Island hotel.

“They forgot to pick me up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

By the time I called and they got me the ceremony showing how they prepare the dinner was already over. The other people got to see the traditional way of cooking and also got their faces painted. The food was ok, nothing extraordinary, but tasty and plentiful (buffet). The dance show was about an hour with very motivated dancers and entertaining. at $70 way overpriced however, but then again everything is on Easter Island.

“Great show and food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

A must-have experience in Eastern Island. Complete experience with preparation, food and typical polynesian dance/music show.
Very good food, very good service, great performance, the whole package.
A bit expensive but totally worth it!
