“The worst overpriced experience for food on the Easter Island”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012

Went there on a Sunday afternoon, everyplace else was packed so I decided to have a sandwich and pasta. The food they offer is just about anything you can cook on your own and the special part of it is that it was overpriced, basic, mediocre and expensive. I spent over 25 bucks on the pasta and about 15 for the club sandwich. The place is very nice, they've got some tables outside and on the inside too, but it's kind of dark. The worst part of it was the staff. I complained to the so called administrator about a dirty glass and he argued that I had put some of my fingers on it and mess it. He refused to change at first but then brought me a clean one. The owner just stared at us without saying a word. A lousy experience.

“Nice food - good people, great place to do people watching”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

We had dinner here on the evening of Christmas day and despite they had a shortened menu, the food was very good, the service great. It is just in the main street which makes it a great place to do some people watching :)

“Basic but tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2011

A nice little restaurant where we, four of us sat outside for lunch a couple of times. Generally basic meals but always nice and hot and tasty served quickly. The owner very friendly and helpful to us non Spanish speaking Australians. Always people eating here which is a good recommendation and we saw other patrons there more than once.

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2011

We stopped here for lunch one day; found out later it is in a lot of guide books. The food was not great and overpriced (although most of the island is). The owner was not friendly at all, even by island standards. The guide books list this place as a moderate priced restaurant - it is not. We paid $8000 chilean each for a sandwich with stale bread and hardly any fish. For a few thousand pesos more, I could have gotten a much better meal elsewhere, or headed to Tia Berta and gotten 2 large empanadas and a coke for that price. Overall, skip it - there are much better places in the price range.

“Good tea and sandwich”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2011

I've been to this place twice during my stay in Easter Island. I had a very nice and big chicken sandwich there, with local beer. The other visit I drank some imported tea.
Not everything that is on the black board in the entrance or in the Menu is available, though. And the flavours are just right, with no extra "ahhhhhs!" to it.
