I fell in love with this most elegant beautiful villa
I enjoyed the amosphere, the interior which reminds of a glorious past
I still dream of the surroundings, the characteristic village, a sense of green Umbria
I adored the garden with the lovely swimmingpool
I admire the owners who with patience and eye for detail have restored and decorated the villa. Thank you Emma for sharing your house with us

Absolutely fabulous

We stayed with 6 friends for a few days in Villa Le Mura and our stay was really marvellous. The hospitality and kindness of Emma, our great diner at the first day (after a long trip) with fresh ingredients from the garden, the magnificent furnished rooms and the beautifull surrounding in Umbrie made our stay splendid.
The house is furnished and decorated with care, with a homelike feeling. The large rooms and garden gives space and privacy.
A place to recommend!!

We rented Villa Lemura earlier this year for our wedding. The whole stay was amazing.

If anyone is thinking of getting married in Italy, I would strongly suggest at least looking at this place. We got married in the town hall in a local village then had the reception meal back at the villa (food provided by outside caterers!). The grounds and the villa itself make a perfect backdrop for the pictures and the perfect setting for a simple, intimate Italian wedding.

We will definitely be returning as soon as possible!!

**P.S if anyone is looking for a good band for a wedding in Italy - try http://www.gutyesimone.it/en/ - we had them at our wedding and they were brilliant!!

We stayed for 1 night and would not recommend this place. It very antique, more like a musuem but for us it did not work as a nice place to stay. The rooms lacked modern comforts and the bathroom very basic. We were not offered a drink of any description , were greeted by large but friendly dogs on arrival and were told we may not be able to use the pool as there was a ladies water aerobics session of Friday afternoons ! (as it happened it was cloudy so they didn't turn up). For what we paid (€ 250 for a suite) it did not represent good value for money.
The owners were away - we were told they had taken holiday as there were very few bookings and to her credit Fiona very pleasantly ferried us to and from Panicale where we had a very pleasant evening meal.
Breakfast was unexciting and lacked fresh bread,home-made jams etc.
It just about managed as an overnight stop but would not want to spend a long time there.

We stayed for a week at Villa Le Mura and wished that it had been longer. The house has the size and grounds procvide privacy when desired and the intimacy of a grand family home. The fmaily is all fluent in English and have a comprehensive knowledge of the local area and a real passion for food and produce. Panicale was an ideal base to tour in Umbria and Tuscany with easy access to Rome by train. The Villa was a real find

walk through the gate at Villa Le Mura and allow yourself to step back to a grand era.
Now, enter the grand villa , welcomed by Emma and Luca your gracious hosts. There is sense that time has not disturbed this place, yet with all modern comforts . The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortably. Our large room had a frescoed ceiling, with a terrace with a stunning view over the formal garden and up to Panicale. We also had a spacious sitting room that we enjoyed after a long day of walking! The common rooms are grand and could be out of a Henry James novel, as a matter of fact one could imagine him at the desk in the villa's library. Breakfast is served in the dining room, very enjoyable. We had a glorious and relaxing stay at Villa Le Mura. It's a dream!

Two weeks ago about 70 of us had the absolute pleasure of a day at Villa Le Mura for a friends wedding... and we were all absolutely blown away.

The restoration of the Villa by Emma and Luca has been undertaken with so much love and care, the place is just magical... the wedding party spent the weekend at the Villa and the rooms, service and general atmosphere were fantastic.

The wedding itself was just magical; the string quartet in the gardens, guests milling around refilling their glasses with prosseco, nibbling on the most delicious canapes followed by an absolute feast for supper served by the lovely local waiters (our favourite being an avid Man United fan - primo, primo Manchester United!!).

Many of the evening guests returned the next day for breakfast and to mill around the grounds, Emma and Luca happy to show us around the main house and chat away, dog in tow. It was just what we imagined and more - sophisticated, charming, relaxed.

Not wishing to wait for another wedding we will definitely be making a point of returning to the Villa in the not too distant future.

Grazie, Grazie, Grazie
