you will definately need a car to stay at this property as amenities were ok if you love beach pool holidays as there isnt very much else to do here, it seemed to be an area where the spanish go on holiday and visit at weekends which is no problem but gets very busy. the car has to be parked in the car park down the road if you can actually get a space at times it was a nightmare, theres a market every night which makes it even worse, you dont have to move your vehical any more but the van drivers like to park where ever they like even if it means blocking a few cars. its worth taking a trip to Torre de la horadada or even trying to find a place there as it was a little heaven on earth. The property is in need of updating a plug was hanging off the wall in our place and i wasnt keen on the spiral stairs with my youngest children. the bathroom and downstairs toilet have very large sinks which makes the area very small and quite cramped when in there. it has all facilities although oddly we didnt have a kettle and no pegs for the washing line so i bought some and left them for the next ppl in no. 12. we found it very noisey with drunks during the night also the wind woops up from the sea and makes quite a racket. wasnt expecting that as it was july and temps reaching 34 degrees. that comes to another problem no air con we all slept on the sofa bed as it was bloomin hot upstairs. if you use palmera beach pool a little advice is to buy your ice cream and drinks from the supermarket as they rip you off something rotten 15euros compaired to 4euros at supermarket over the week it adds up to a hell of alot, i recommend going restaurants at flamenco beach towards torrejeveca, park near burger king and walk round also you have supercor the supermarket there, the chinese restaurant was excellent and also a restaurant called The witchery kids eat free before 8.30pm i recommend the 24inch ribs there.
If you do hire a car beware of their car parks underground it was a tight corner to get out and a very very very steep clime out so much so we had smoke coming out of our engine and was spinning the wheels. but overall we did have a nice time and the kids loved it but wont be returning

We stayed in the Jessica Beach Apartments (house) in June 2008 for 2 weeks with our 3 year old son and what a fantastic time we had. The location couldn't be better with the beach just a stones throw away and it's beautiful. The restaurants are a short walk away and are very good. It's a lovely place as it's quite small and quiet. The apartments have everything you need, we even had a washing machine and a utility room in ours. The maids changed our towels/linen 3 times in the 2 weeks we were there. One thing to point out is that it's not that easy to find, make sure you look out for Mil Palmeras not Pilar de la Horadada as we got a bit lost on the way there. We can't say a bad thing about the apartments or the place - it's fab and we would recommend it to friends and family.

“Fantastic time”

We had a wonderful couple of weeks at Jessica Beach in June 2007. As the previous review stated they are called apartments but are in fact houses with two bedrooms upstairs, one with double bed, one with twin beds There are two fold out beds in the bedrooms and a sofa bed down stairs so plenty of room for our 4 kids and us. The front bedroom has a little balcony and fantastic views of the sea. Downstairs you have a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, oven and hob, washing machine and off the kitchen is an outside area to hang your washing up or your wet clothes and towels straight from the beach - ideal...
There is a downstairs loo and lovely big lounge diner, out front there is a private patio area and an outside table and 6 chairs are provided. Lovely as you can get the kids to bed and sit outside the front looking over the sea knowing they are safe indoors.
The location is fantastic as the beach is a blue flag beach so is very safe with lifeguards. Every morning a tractor goes up and down the beach getting rid of any seaweed. There are many very nice restaurants especially the german restaurant on the sea front and the pizza place nearest the car park. You cannot park your car outside the house but the carpark is free. Word of advice though your car has to be moved for the lovely market on Tuesday at 5pm - if you don't move it, it will be towed away as our brother in law found out. Hotel manager helped with that - sorted it all out for us. Found service in hotel where you get your key to be really good and you can use the pool and the restaurant at the hotel any time.
The houses could possibly do with a bit of a paint job as they are a little weary looking but the very friendly cleaners made sure the places are impecably clean and we were offered clean towels, sheets and loo rolls every day.
Overall we as a family would and have recommended Jessica Beach and we hope to return sometime soon.

we stayed here for a week in september '06 with our 9 month old daughter. the facilities included 2 bedrooms, full bathroom upstairs, downstairs toilet, full kitchen and living/dining area. there is a spiral staircase to get upstairs,so may not be suitable for elderly people.
they are called jessica beach bungalows but are in fact a house!
everything provided-t.v, cutlery, clean sheets, iron, ironing board etc.
location is on the beach and an unspoilt view.
there are approx 10 restaurants in the close area and a great supermarket (200m), but not busy and loud-very peaceful.
we enjoyed it here so much we are moving to the area this may('07)
