Arrived as part of a group, and although the welcome and atmosphere were promising, the meals were awful. We were a largish group, but that didn't excuse the cold meals, and meals obviously pre-cooked, defrosted but still served cold in the middle. The piri piri seabream was like leather, well over cooked. The beef stroganoff was the mushroom stroganoff with some cooked meat chucked in. To add insult to injury, the bread and olives that were on the table when we sat down and we assumed were gratis (we hadn't ordered them) ended up on the bill at £2.50 each!!!! One of our party's meal was so cold it had to be sent back. The young waitresses tried really hard, but the meals arrived in fits and starts so we couldn't all eat the same time. Don't go here, they don't deserve your custom. Get a new chef and a management team that are customer focused.

This does feel very unfair - we do not defreeze pre-cooked meals - we served steaming hot freshly cooked dishes. We do take into account your comment about the bread, cold meat, cheese and olives - this is a tradition in Portuguese restaurants but we will serve this as an optional extra in future (it's £2.50 for two not each as claimed above). We are very proud of our chef and we do care about our customers. As you said we made you feel welcome and provided the best service we could. We are sorry that not every one in your group appreciated Portuguese cooking but fortunately we do have many customers who do enjoy it and are returning time after time.
