Regarding the facilities/hotel, I agree with FreidaBrussels: this place is nothing like the website. The bed was comfortable but otherwise the room was poor. The hallway leading to the room had an old and stained carpet, the shower had no curtain and nothing to fix the shower handle. There were no facilities for making tea or coffee. For some reason the room was uncomfortably warm, even though the radiator was off.
Most disappointing was the bewildering unfriendliness of the staff. I was assured at the time of booking that the hotel has wifi. When I arrived I was able to connect to the local wifi but not to the internet with either of my devices (phone/laptop). I called reception and was quite litteraly told "It works perfectly well for me. Good night"! No attempt to fix the problem, no offer to come to the reception area where presumably the connection was working, no apology.
Upon arrival, around 9 p.m., the staff appeared to be at great pains to make sure I didn't venture beyond the tiny reception room into the dining area and bar. My enquiries about what time the restaurant would close were met, again verbatim, with "I don't know, but it's probably fully booked". Upon checking out I asked if there was an area to have a coffee before leaving but was again told "no, because we're expecting a larger group".
In short, this was the kind of hostile reception one would expect in a low end Paris hotel, but thoroughly shocking to find this in a small otherwise friendly country village.
Go somewhere else.
