The rooms are perfect (they really are) and the photos shown here are 100% true - it really is such a beautiful place and the scenery is breathtaking!
The B&B is very close to the attraction Zaanse Schans and is definitely in ~10-15 min walking distance (asian girls speed). The location itself may not be the most convenient if you plan to spend most of your time in the Amsterdam city (to get to the city it's ~ 15 min walking from the Zaandijk station to the B&B but once you get on the train it's quick. oh by the way- Margreet goes to the city quite often and she would offer you a free journey if timings match!. But I'd very much recommend if you go to this area you must meet this beautiful place - i have even thought of buying a house and just staying here after I retire! (haha. despite the language barrier with other people here; n.b. Margreet is a proficient english-speaker!)!
Margreet and Robert are incredibly helpful, nice and generous hosts and the breakfast they made is just great.
The other thing we enjoyed most is that Margreet and Robert are also art-lovers who can really talk with you about van gogh, vermeer and picasso. If going to rijkmuseum and van gogh museum was one of the very reasons that you go to amsterdam - you'll love them.
Overall it was a perfect stay for us - we mean it!
