“Beyond Comprehension”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We arrived at 10.45 am after a flight round the island, 3 adults and 4 under 16's, we waited at the outdoor seating area for the "Magical 11 am opening" which is "due to insurance regulations" only to be told that "food was served from 12 onwards", "toilets were not public toilets" "they had to pay for the cleaning" door slammed in our faces as we tried to leave with some dignity. Why are these people in the service industry? Why leave such an awful impression on 4 young and innocent minds? Is this really what we want the next generation to accept as Normal Behavior of a lady their Grandmothers age and her side kick / bouncer?
Absolutely disgusted beyond comprehension, we are not beggars, just fare paying customers who never even got the chance to be seated let alone sample a meal!
I would suggest putting your head in a propeller running at full pelt more than trying to get a meal Here!

“Quirky place to be. Love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Bembridge is my favourite airfield to fly in to - because of the Propellor Inn.

The landlord will often be dressed in some costume or other. Last time it looked like he'd been big game hunting in Africa. There are a selection of guitars in the bar - not just for decoration as whenever I've picked one up they tend to be in tune.

Food is standard pub grub but good value and good portions. Don't expect Gastro pub.

It has a great atmosphere and this review will do little to improve its already excellent rating on here!

“wonderful hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Stopped by here for a lunch time meal while staying for a weekend break on the Isle of Wight. 11 of us descended and tables were pulled into position to sit us comfortably together. Warm welcome and good service made for a very enjoyable time, so much so that we returned the following day to enjoy another good lunch.

“one of my favorites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

This pub grub is guaranteed to satisfy anyone, its homemade and there's nothing like fresh veg.
The landlady and staff are always very welcoming, and full of smiles and laughter, not just the staff but customers too. Nice open fire too, that brings back my childhood memories. On leaving we was approached by a regular customer and was told to meet the landlord as he is such a laugh and would be pleased to meet us. This pub is getting to be our regular stop gap for food when we are out around the Island. Go see for yourself don't just take my word for it.
