“what a relaxing stay we loved the old mill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

We had a lovely stay at this Hotel. The staff were friendly, our room was spotless and comfortable. The food is fine, we will definately return. The only thing was the room was so large the television looked like a pimple on the wall, so next time you have a refurb a larger telly would be good. Having said that just a minor observation with the TV, we loved the view of the river and the bed was very comfortable. We look forward to staying with you again soon. Thank you for our excellant stay.

We have recently returned from a short stay at the Old Mill. We were made welcome on our arrival and were quickly directed to our room on the first floor, there was no hanging about like we've done at other places. The room was plenty big enough and the bathroom was a good size. The room was a little dark which was due to the trees that surround the stream. It's a good place to stay to venture out to the different locations such as Warwick Castle. Breakfast was included and there was full English or Continental, which was very good. We ate in the restaurant and there was ample selection of tasty meals and sweets. Staff in the restaurant were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed. The venue has a long history and you can read about the ghosts in the literature, although I didn't see anything! I did sense changes in energy, but that's the norm for me! An enjoyable relaxing stay.

The location and building are lovely, we arrived hungry for dinner and sadly ate again when we got home. We're not especially big eaters and had 2 courses each of lovely food, there was just too little of it. We would have been happy to pay the prices if there were more on the plates

Hi Ann Marie13

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the portion sizes were too small and we will definitely feed this back to the Kitchen Team and the Management Team.

The pictures on the internet really do not do this hotel justice. The hotel sits in a pretty village on the edge of a stream. The rooms are spacious, the beds are large and the bathroom is well appointed. There was a flatscreen tv and tea / coffee making facilities. All in all very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming. We couldn't have asked for more for the price we paid.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back of the hotel overlook the stream

Business stay and found hotel really pleasant. The look of it is good also and can see why it is called Old Mill. It is well laid out so looks nice with all the old beams and large doors. Food quality was good for my self and colleague. the portion looked small but were shocked how deep the dishes went and left full !! Staff that we met were well presented and helpful. Room was spot in and shower pressure is awesome. Thankyou and will recommend and re-use.

An attractive hotel set in nice grounds. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The staff both in the hotel and restaurant were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The stay was completely let down by the quality, or lack it, of the dining experience. There was obviously no quality control of what was sent out of the restaurant. The starter of scallops, pancetta and prawns resulted in undercooked prawns and the pancetta was missing. The Whitebait was dark brown verging on black as it had been overfried. The meat was excellent but the veg. completely overdone and lacking in taste. The roasted new potatoes had obviously been cooked sometime previously and appeared on the plate wrinkled and collapsed. Subsequent discussions with friends in Leamington revealed that our experience was not unusual. A great shame as it is a beautifull venue. Surprising that breakfast was not included in the price.
