“So disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

Booked a meal at the pub for Mother's Day. Table was booked for 8 o'clock but we weren't served until 9. The waiter was lovely but in all honesty, the meal was probably one of the most tasteless I have ever had anywhere. Nothing tasted of anything and it looked and tasted as if no effort had been put into it at all. We've been to the pub before and the food has always been fine but not exceptional; this has put us off ever going again.

“A gastronomic delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

The Abercrave Inn was recommended to us during our visit. The setting was very attractive in an old fashioned style with wooden beams and decorated by numerous interesting ornaments. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We chose off the evening set menu which was a very good price with plenty of choice. The meal was of excellent quality and so tasty. There was also plenty of it. It was just superb. It's well worth a visit if you're in the area. It will certainly delight your tastebuds!

“Abercrave”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

This restaurant is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Great to take a long walk before lunch. Advisable to book a table. The food is very good although the last time I went it was not hot enough but if you encounter a problem the staff are only too happy to assist. The Abercrave Inn also offer a special deal on Dinner, Bed &Breakfast. Very worthwhile especially when the weather is good

“Let Down”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Have visited the Abercrave Inn many times over the years as I have family living locally, usually use the local Inns and Restaurants to eat in the evening. Service was incredibly slow, drinks were expensive and the food was mediocre, I had a chicken dish that was barely luke-warm and my husband had what was described on the menu as Steak.....the only nice thing about the meal was the side dish of vegetables that came with my main course. Staff barely interested, never came to ask if our meals were ok. Hugely disappointing and although we are visiting relatives again soon, this will definitely be on our list to avoid.
