I found this Hotel to be a good value for the money. The place is named a resort, but like many places in the Philippines it is not a large plush establishment like one would think of if visiting, say.....Vegas.

However, it was small, very well-maintained establishment. The grounds were clean and lush with vegetation. The grounds were literally manicured. The room did not blow me away with elegance, but it was large enough so that both of us were comfortable. The staff cleaned it daily without request. The internet works well, but you will have to go to the lobby area to use it (they have computers, but they charge for their use)......even your laptop.

The staff w,as friendly, and a security guard was on the grounds at night. It was about a 4 minute walk away from the beach. There are many restaurants in the area, and you will receive a host of offers from the locals for opportunities to island hop.

The only real challenge I found with Bohol itself, is that the beautiful resorts, like this one, are a little ways from the airport and pier. So, please try to arrive during the day time. And, if you can fit yourself and your belongings into a tri-cycle, it will be much cheaper to reach the hotel.

I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Relatively quiet, clean, basic accommodation. However, the location is about 4-5 mins walk from the beach - so if you are planning a beach holiday, this is probably not the best option. We stayed here for 1 night and then walked to Alona beach to find a place closer to the beach. See Pyramid review

There is a small German restaurant across the street which serves great goulash. Look for Helmut the Chef - friendly, generous and authentic German Chef.

Watch out for the additional room charges. We were charged extra for 3 people in 1 room, even though there were 2 beds standard

Yes this place is around 5 minutes from the beach but it's a pleasant stroll. Although some of the road is unlit I never felt unsafe using it even late at night.

The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. I stayed in one of the Luxury Standard rooms which had a safe but no fridge. The aircon was really effective and not too loud. Only real quibble with the room was the thin curtains which made it difficult to sleep once it was getting light outside and the ever so thin pillows.

Really nice gardens to relax in and the staff were all pretty friendly and there is an internet cafe in the reception area. There is a decent little restaurant next door - The Powder Keg which was good for breakfast and a quiet drink in the evening.

Altogether great value for money and a lot cheaper and quieter than places on the beach.
