This was a package trip in which we paid an all inclusive price of £700 for 4 nights and 5 days. This covered me, my wife and 1 year old son. It included morning buffet and evening buffet, most activities and a long 1 day trip around Bohol.
The Hotel was literally paradise. It has a rain forest theme, with lots of small villas dotted in between towering palm, mango and coconut trees. The villas are huge and come with huge double beds which could sleep four. Our room had a toilet with a very handy built in Bide which i have never encountered before. You just press a button and it squirts a jet to the appropriate area. It's a lot easier than the guns most hotels are equipped with which forces you to squat and take aim and hope for the best!!!!!!!
There is so much nature in the grounds, with frogs and geckos regular visitors to your room. They both make a racket at night time. The pool was excellent, particularly one of the pools which is big and also very warm. There was 2 jacuzzi's but one was broken, not that it mattered because we were there during the off season. The walk to the beach is quick and easy and leads to a lovely white sand beach. My only gripe was that it was very narrow. However, the hotel has its own man made island which you can walk on to and enjoy a drink as you watch the small fish swim by with an absolutely glorious view, You also have the option to hire snorkelling gear and get up close to the fish.
We chose to go out on a boat and snorkel in a protected Reef which was pretty good fun, but you can go island hopping if you wish and snorkel where you please.
My only complaints of this trip were a lot of the staff were not interested and made it obvious they would rather be at home. Getting a smile out of them wasn't easy. Also, the air conditioning units in the rooms were very noisy and in dire need of modernization. They really did affect the quality of my sleep which was a major shame.
The day trip was very long and incorporates lots more than a trip to the Chocolate Hills. Make sure your well fed and prepared, especially if you have children. However, it was a great day with lots to do and see.
Also, you have to have a massage here. It was the best Spa experience I've ever had. A 1 hour massage lasts for 2 hours because they allow you to have a steam and sauna first, then shower. They then put you in a room overlooking the sea, give you a cup of herbal tea and put you feet in warm water for 20 minutes......then you start your massage. Brilliant.
The Deluxe rooms over look the sea and have a balcony with an in built jacuzzi. When i saw that i fe...
