“Lovely beach and view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Staff very friendly, food at the bar a little tasteless and dry but coctails were fab! Swimmingpools were very relaxing and quiet and the beaches and surroundings just stunning. Loved the hammacks on the beach. So romantic. The room was very basic, but added to the romance of this place but clean and very spacious. The breakfast was superb,

my friends and i stayed here for 1 night after staying at the Shangri-La in Cebu. perhaps we should have went the other way around on the trip. i'm not trying to compare BBC to Shangri-La, but it was definitely a night/day difference.

the rooms were very dated and simple. we had a beach cabana right off the beach which was the saving point of the room. with a great porch walking right onto the beach. our room was right near the pool which was decently sized but definitely could use some TLC.

the dinner was simple and filling. nothing fancy, but it was good. there was a live band which took request and it pretty much the best part of the trip. we definitely danced and partied with everyone there which was a lot of fun.

sadly we didn't get to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL beach as it was a bit rainy during our stay. very sad as you could definitely tell the beach was amazing. we did have a nice swim though even though there was overcast. tons of starfish in the water.

this place definitely has potential to be a great place. the location couldn't be better, but the service and rooms need some work. would love to see this place renovated.

First, the positive: this hotel is wonderfully located on a mile of beautiful white-sand beach, which they groom every morning to make it look picture perfect.

We had a beach view room, which reminded me of what a Bulgarian holiday camp in the Soviet era must have been like: dingy, poorly lit (fluorescent tubes) and particularly drab, given the stunning views. It was clean, water pressure was good and showers were hot.

The front desk staff was inattentive, poorly informed about their own resort's offerings, and unable to deal with much beyond their canned scripts for available tours or services.

The tennis court was brushed dirt, but had no lines, making play impossible.

The staff at the water sports center were so unhelpful that we finally walked down the beach to the next resort hotel to reserve our scuba diving (Sunrise Reef Diving--Yanick Epitalon Tel +63-9217-605-150).

They currently are re-furbishing one wing of the hotel, so there may be hope, especially if they also replace the management, and then provide staff training. Otherwise, I cannot recommend.

I and my husband decided to spend our wedding monthsary in the this resort. We did enjoy our stay. The room was clean. The environment was quite. The beach was so clean and the white sand simply made us love the place. The clean and pristine water was quite great! Our stay was perfect so was our honeymoon in this hotel.

Pristine Sand and Wide Beach. We enjoyed our stay here, the ambiance is great, the cabins are clean and well maintained, the staff were helpful. Great Resort quite expensive though but it is all worth it.

can't wait to come back!

We did a day trip in this beach resort and I can say that for the price i paid for, it is really worth it. It is 20-30 mins away from Alona beach by a tricycle which you can rent for 150 pesos one way. It is better to make arrangements with the driver to also pick you up because the main entrance is far from the resort itself. Day tour rate is 350 pesos during weekdays wherein 200 pesos of which is consumable and 500 pesos on weekends 350 pesos of which is also consumable. They allow their day tour guests to stay until 9pm so we had a lot of time exploring this wonderful place. Loungers and hammocks are present in the shore where you can just laze the day away. I love the feel of their creamy white sand under my feet. Their food is great and their staff were helpful. One of the staff in their bar was kind enough to give us a tarsier stuff toy when we ordered some drinks. I also like the singers serenading us with their beautiful voice while we were having dinner.
The only downside of this resort for me are those sea grasses being swept in the shore by the waves and the fact that we have to pay a minimal fee of 50 pesos each for the use of beach towels. Aside from those things,,I really enjoyed my stay here. If you have some time to spare while in Bohol, I would really recommend that you visit this relaxing place.
