“Lovely resort!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

This resort was the second hotel we stayed in during our trip to Bohol (the first one was located in Loboc - for the countryside tour). As expected from a 5-star hotel, the facilities and amenities were impressive and breathtakingly beautiful but they kind of fell short in terms on service. Don't get me wrong, the staff were always courteous and friendly but the turn around time for requests to be serviced (for a 5-star hotel). Also, I was irked when they policed my nanny who was wearing a shirt in the pool when other guests were wearing hooded jackets and they weren't giving them a hard time.

All in all It's still a fabulous resort good for both families and couples.

Room Tip: Request for a sea view room. :)

Stayed here for my son's birthday. Bellevue has the nicest staff, they were very accommodating and they never refused any request we had. They set-up a dinner by the beach and they gave my son a surprise birthday cake. The chef and the restaurant manager even went to greet my son. So thoughtful really.

The rooms were also big with two double beds. The bathroom was super nice. The infinity pool was stunning - in the daylight and even at night! Nicest beach resort I ever stayed in. =) Thanks again Bellevue for such a wonderful stay!

The hotel is relatively new, and is located near the tip of Panglao island. So you may find it a little far if you are looking to go to bars and restaurants and other resorts especially at night. But its perfect if you are looking for some nice and quiet time. We enjoyed the clean, spacious and cozy rooms. Each room had a balcony with a magnificent view of the beach and the pool. And the rooms were fully sound proof, you can block out all the fun and laughter from the other guests in the pool area any time you close the door and windows. We also enjoyed the other facilities, such as the game room and the pool. Lunch at the Lamian resto was superb. Staff was friendly, and our city tour was arranged by the hotel. And all of these for a very reasonable price. However, the hotel can still improve on the breakfast menu, and add more gym equipment. I also noticed that our bathroom did not have any exhaust fan. But overall, staying in this hotel added up to our memorable stay in Bohol.

Opened last August 2012, Bellevue shows a lot of promise as a family resort in delightful Bohol.

The rooms are beautiful with fast internet service. It is a family oriented resort, some regular rooms have two queen beds. Service is faultless, the staff is well trained.

The pool is nice, but maybe a bit small for the size of the property. Gets very crowded around dusk, everyone jumps in and there’s no space to swim. Maybe the vast open space that looks like a dead spot can be converted to another pool. Beach is very clean though with white sand, better than the pool as it is spectacular during the blue hour.

Just wish the food can be improved to actual resort quality. Our benchmark club sandwich order upon arrival was simply awful, the ingredients very bad. First impressions last. Maybe when other restaurants open, food quality will improve. However there is no other place to eat, need to take the resort car service if you wish to eat out, nearest decent place must be Bohol Beach farm, good for lunch. Found the daily breakfast buffet too expensive for the selection and quality, same price as Manila hotel buffets?? Simpler food is ok, but need to be priced correctly.

Make sure to spend one day out for sightseeing. Educational for the kids and the countryside is lovely.

Room Tip: Room with two queen beds.

So we checked into the resort on Monday. We came as a group so we currently have two rooms. The resort is nice, the pool and the beach are right outside. The food selection at the restaurant is very lacking. You get the same menu for both lunch and dinner and the price is a 5star resort price. The bathrooms are a much different story. One room we have not had hot water for two days straight and the bathroom in the second room leaks everytime you take a shower therefore you walk out of the shower with a flooded bathroom. We all complained to the front desk and both times we got the same answer that there is nothing they can do but will notify the engineering department. Obviously there is no incentive for them to make it better since we are already here. But now we are all stuck in this resort paying 5star prices but with subpar services and amenities. Save your money and stay somewhere else!

Very nice hotel, new, clean, well designed and a great staff. not so great things, far away from everything, need to get someone on a bike to take you to alona beach, about 15 min by motor bike. The dive shop there is overly priced, I would say 3 - 4X of what you'll get from Alona!!!! I felt that was very unreasonable and the staff weren't very knowledgeable or helpful. I ended up going to go scuba in Alona and got 2500 peso for 2 dives to Balicasag while the hotel wanted something around 9000...

This hotel is one of the best looking in Bohol. It has a pretty good beach, a descent pool, friendly staff, and everything is very new.

Some of the downsides to this hotel:

- There are no umbrellas in the pool area. There is no shade at all around the pool.
- The chairs in the pool area are very uncomfortable. They are made for short people who don't mind lying on very stiff chairs.
- The chairs at the beach all have umbrellas but have no padding (except for 1 pair) and are angled downward. This means you typically slowly slide down the chair.
- The chef is capable of making great food, but typically delivers mediocre quality. Most of our meals where disappointing in taste and variety. When did have a special 5 course meal on the beach which was outstanding.
- The staff is very friendly and nice, but cannot handle any kind of special or individual request. This seemed like just a lack of training on the management's part.

Despite these issues we had a great time. This is a beautiful area to visit. This is still probably the best hotel in all of Bohol, but it could be much better.
