“lovely hotel, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

The rooms are spacious & tastefully furnished, the beds are comfortable.
The staff are pleasant & helpful without being intrusive.
The restaurants food is nice but alot more expensive than we would have expected 75US$ for two evening buffet meals.
There is not alot around the hotel & no street lights to walk out, but we had two nights here & that was just great.

Room Tip: We had a 5th floor room with a sea facing view.

If you are looking for a place to have some Relaxation & Rest- this is the right place for you.

We just came back from a 3 days stay at this beautiful resort and we have only good things to say about it and about the staff that runs it.
We were welcomed in the nicest way once we have arrived at the dock of Bohol island. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Once we got to the resort we were greeted by the manager of the Resort as well as by the lady who is in charge of the guest relations at this resort. During all of our stay there, they made sure that we were enjoying ourselves and that all of our needs are being taken care of. Those 2 people are the right people for the job, as they are doing it excellent.
The resort itself is beautifull and new. The rooms are spacious and have everything one can think of. It seems that no detail was left unnoticed and that whoever designed the place took everything into concideration.
Breakfast was the best we had through our trip to the Phillipines andI I can only wish other hotels learn from them.
The staff throughout the hotel were excellent and it seems they really take the time to teach them how to treat their guests.
We would definitely come back with our 2 little ones who had a blast at this resort.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a deluxe sea view room in February 2013, the following is our review:
Pros:
1. Brand new rooms that are beautifully appointed and very clean. The bathroom and shower is especially beautiful and the best we have experienced in the Philippines.
2. Comfortable king size bed.
3. Very friendly staff, best we have encountered in the Philippines.
4. Nice infinity pool, albeit small considering the resort size.

Cons:
1. Location. The resort is located on an unattractive part of Panglao Island and a 15 minute trike ride to Alona beach side that has good restaurants.
2. The beach front. This was a huge let down. The sand is ok, but there was washed up seaweed everywhere and you basically can't swim in the water due to the massive amounts of seaweed. We don't think this was a seasonal thing, but perhaps the subject of further development.
3. Resort amenities. Although the hotel is operational, there were some amenities still being constructed. These include the gym, spa, and two more restaurants.
4. Only one restaurant operational.
5. No free shuttle service to and from Alona beach. You can hire a private driver from the resort for 500 pesos each way. Alternatively, the resort will call you a trike which costs 150 pesos each way.
6. Buffet breakfast was average compared to other 5 star hotels or resorts in the Philippines.

Overall, we would stay here again IF they clean up the beach and once everything in the resort is operational.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor sea view room to give you a nice outlook over the ocean. Organise your tours...

Dear GKtrips16,

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us here at Trip Advisor. We are glad that you experienced something best in the Philippines during your stay.

We take your observations very seriously to provide better products and services towards our guests like you. We will also be having a free shuttle service to the Alona Beach.

For the location, the resort is situated nearby one of the best marine sanctuaries in the country. Just off our shores you will witness that rich marine life. And just 15 minutes away by boat from one of the best diving sites in the world.

For the facilities, both our Spa, Gym, and the entertainment center for adults and kids will be completed in two weeks. And we also bring experts to continuously improve our restaurant quality and service to cater various needs.

Finally, as for the beachfront, the seaweeds are seasonal and they are important to sustain the rich marine life in the island. I would personally say that summer would be the best time to go as the beach will be at its most pristine.

We truly appreciate taking your time to bring your concerns to our attention. And we also invite you again in hope that we will have the opportunity to demonstrate our enhanced services.

Sincerely,

Dustin Chan

We stayed at the Bellevue Bohol for 4d3n. My early check-in was granted. Had a room as early as 8am. It was a deluxe room at the north wing with a direct access to the infinity pool. I thank you for this. Its deluxe room is is somewhat similar to their Bellevue Manila in Alabang. Spacious and fancy. Breakfast buffet was just ok. Same menu for 3 days. Nothing recognizable. The restaurant waiters and waitresses also need to be more attentive to the needs of the customers - water, coffee, utensils. Not sure if they were understaffed but i doubt it. The infinity pool was ok but i enjoyed the 12 ft diving pool area! Again, the person responsible for giving out towels was not that engaged. It was I who approached the towel area. He was just sitting and doing nothing. What really turned me off were - absence of FREE shuttle service AND expensive bohol and island tours! I called frontdesk and the lady said that a one way drop off to the city will cost me 500 pesos! Seriously?! I also contacted the tours desk and they said the the island tour will cost us 8500 pesos! Ridiculous! A roundtrip to loboc river will cost us 2000 pesos! What?! Obviously over pricing. Hope The Bellevue Bohol revisits and review these things. I also suggest a FREE shuttle service to and from Alona Beach.

Beautiful new resort. Everything was grand -- just truly world class! Service was phenomenal!

Things I liked:

1. Infinity pool
2. Gorgeous rooms that overlooked the pool and the beach. Big comfortable beds. Gorgeous bathrooms.
3. Service -- never felt more looked after. Our driver Alex was the best!!

Things that I think will just get better over time:
1. Restaurant -- food was so so. Things took too long. Being fairly new, they still need to get their bearings on this.

Highly recommended. We're definitely returning!

From the moment we stepped off the plane, our wonderful experience began. From the first staff member we saw upon arriving at the airport to the last staff member we saw on departing the airport-and all employees in between-everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. It truly was an overload of courtesy and attention.

A beautiful young lady by the name of Cathy picked us up at the airport. She was so personable and hospitable that we wish we could have packed her up and taken her with us. She was extremely helpful and friendly. She made sure we were taken care of.

It would not be an overstatement to say that our stay came pretty close to perfection. If anyone plans a visit to Bohol with the intent of getting away for a quiet respite, the Bellevue Hotel is the place. Just be warned that the attention will initially overwhelm you, but you’ll adapt. The only problem is that you may begin to think you can get this exquisite treatment elsewhere. Not!
Finally, the views were breathtaking and the food was exceptional. I think that about covers it.

Stayed 2 nights and 'twas really one of the best we had so far. We are 9 adults and my 1 year old baby, booked 3 ocean view rooms, 'twas really spacious, bed was so comfy and i just love the pillows--feels like my microfiber pillows at home. Buffet bfast was just average, i think they needed to improve their food since its not that tasty and good but its like a fest every morning. We liked the salad and fruit bar the most.
Room service was just not that good since i was requesting for a big bowl to use when i wash my baby's bottle, called the room service twice and they said its coming na but it never came.

When u want a place tahts quiet and want to relax this is the place for you. Since alona beach area is quite crowded and dirty. Anyway you can ask the front desk for trike to take you to alona beach if you want to party at night at alona beach at 150 pesos per way.

I suggest to book a room at the west wing since the view are much better than the east wing.
