“Great Tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

Good value and lovely food. We kept going back! The couple running the bar were very friendly. We particularly liked the butterfly prawns and chocolate fudge cake.

“British run bar with a difference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

If you are a fan of the many 'plastic British pubs' found across the Balearics and Spain, then do not pay a visit to Can Balache. The exterior and interior decor of the bar definitely have a Mallorcan feel, assisted by its proximity to traditional local restaurants. In addition to the breakfast, snack and main food menu, the owners Tony and Bev, offer a fine selection of tapas. You do have the choice of an excellent Spanish beer on tap, together with draught cider and bitter to suit most tastes. As you would expect, the bar also stock a wide range of bottled beers, wines, spirits etc. TV's are provided inside and on the terrace for customers to watch sporting events, while enjoying the relaxed friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back to Can Balache on our next visit to Puerto Pollenca in August.

“Typical Brit Pub away”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Didn't have any atmosphere and typical brit food. The beer was the only good thing and the only reason we went. After 2 visits gave up.

I am sorry you were disapointed with your recent visit but i feel i must respond to some of your comments. The visits you made to the bar with your friend/partner were late afternoon/early evening the quietest time of the day, in fact many places are closed at this time for "siesta" and you sat outside on the terrace i'm not sure what atmosphere you were expecting. As for typical "Brit food" yes we serve British breakfasts & snacks but we also serve tapas and if anyone would care to look at the photos on our website i'm sure the majority would agree the decor is anything but typical "Brit bar away" as is our bars name. I also recall on your visits you having a lengthy conversation with my on where to get a good paella, and your friend/partner asking me for recommendations as to the best restaurants for steaks. I am however glad you enjoyed the beer.
