“Superb Mallorcan Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

Had visited last year, returned again this year. Fish is SUPERB. Cod (Mallorcan or house speciality) highly recommended. Tender, beautifully served with fresh vegetables (not a chip in sight!). On the expensive side, but well worth the treat.

“Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

My wife and I have been going to PP for 25 years or so; and have a number of favourite restaurants. Having read reports on El Posito on trip advisor, we visited it for the first time this year - early September. It was brilliant, and we ended up making 3 visits. From various meals we can recommend unreservedly and would make particular recommendations for the following:-

Starters: Garlic prawns (best I've ever tasted) and chicken croquets
Mains: John Dory with crinkled onions and pine nuts
Beef tenderloin in whisky sauce
Suckling pig Our advice; definitely visit, but book!

“Still the best for local cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

Just back from the annual footy trip to PP, our 25th annual tour. El Posito continues to be our favourite. Tony and Zak offer great hospitality and are anxious to explain their traditional dishes. On the last night I ate rabbit stew with onions and gambas. Sounds strange but it was superb, particularly when washed down with their own named red wine. Keep up the good work, already booked for next year!

“El Posito Restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Went for dinner after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Quite disappointed, firstly asked for house wine - not what I got (more expensive wine) and the sea bass had so much garlic on it, couldn't taste anything else! Not relaxing surroundings as the waiters are always rushing. The most expensive we went to at 60euros for two and wouldn't return. The lighting is also bad- big electric strip lights.

“Very salty food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Visited El Posito in August. Its not what we would call an up market establishment - paper napkins and a seating area at the bar for casual drinkers. The starter - Mallorcan Frito - was to die for, but both my main (fish) and my partners ( beef) were to salty by far for our tastes. Should have been alerted by the fact that there were no condiments on the table! Overall - disappointing.
